I wouldn’t say they dream about that. Diana was genius, but “uncontrollable”, as Alexander Liberman said himself. She was extremely creative, which came with a price. Literally. Diana was extremely expensive when it came to organizing editorials. That’s mainly why they had to let her go, in the early 70s.

Madonna was NOT the first celebrity to be on the cover of vogue. MANY MANY celebrities have been on the cover of Vogue. Most notably Barbaraa Streisand and Cher in their YOUTH.

Hi Alux! I love you guys so much and as a brand with an emphasis on grooming future billionaires. I have some constructive hints that might help. Also, feel free to ignore me unless you find any of it helpful. 🙂 Just so you know that I’m not some random, after growing up in California, Mexico and France, I was in entertainment and fashion for the last 23 years. My mother is a fashion and art historian and the reason I speak 3 languages and have been a successful performer, producer and casting agent and director, (the latest incarnation being as a professional, 6’1 220lb globe trotting aerial contortionist), with David LaChapelle, Britney and The Whitney Museum as my last major clients that I can mention. So take whatever I say with a grain of salt, just know that it’s all coming from love and the fact that I’ve had to learn how to navigate the jet set my own way, since I wasn’t born into it. I just had a beautiful and incredibly intelligent and educated mom :) One of my favourite gifts she bestowed upon me was the ability to chat fashion history with those in the know without making too many pronunciation faux pas’. I LOVED your video and you actually had a bunch of wonderful facts that even a giant fashion nerd like me didn’t know, (Toto Koopman is my new biographical deep dive. Amazing.) Thank you for those and keep them up! Here are a few little things that stood out at me at first watch. I know how language fluctuates and evolves, but there are some things that might be considered pretty common to look out for. First, it’s pronounced ‘dapper’, not ‘daper’ when referring to handsome, in style gentlemen. Ryan Lochte with a ‘T’ is an Olympic champion. Not Ryan Lochle, although I’m sure he is a lovely person too. Nuclear winter is pronounce ‘Noo clear’ not ‘Nuke-ular’. Don’t worry, George W. made the same mistake. And finally, Veruschka is a legendary fashion icon. Pronounced ‘Ver-oosh-kah’ all you have to do is google that one word and we can find how important she was to pop culture. Dick Avendon ‘Ahv ehn-dawn’ was the one that shot her on that legendary shoot that Polly Mellen was the fashion editor of, who’s story actually is one of the reasons that I learned to trust myself as a director, and scout and in casting and art direction. Because sometimes you have to do them all. ☺️ I hope these are helpful. I know that it’s hard to do sometimes when you’re just trying to stay on deadline and read cohesively off a piece of paper with no sleep, but regardless of my input, you are doing wonderfully and even though I’m retired now, I can’t wait to catch more of your videos. Not that it matters, but if you want any context, my very matter of fact Insta is bennmendoza. Do what you may with all this info, I just love that there is someone out there as excited about fashion as me to be doing this work.
