Hi Bianca, great vlog - thank you for making this. For Chengdu area, what activities and places would you recommend for travelling by myself? Is it safe, should I join a local tour group ? How would I find local tours? What are some average accommodation options in Chengdu? Thank you in advance. Kind regards, Rajan :).

LOL the 'n' word part. 🤣🤣🤣 The course I'm learning mandarin from (Paul Noble, it's really good) teaches it pronounced as like saying "nah" in Englssh. Like nah ge, nah thai deennoww (computer), nah jia shangdien (shop), etc. Why do some people prnounce it "ni" vs "nah" ?! Great tips. Your and your mom's teeth are really nice. That seems to be one of the biggest issues for poorer Chinese people. Kind of like here in the UK, the dentistry is a lot better now, but if you watch movies from 40 years ago... it's noticeable.

I watched a Vid where the guys luggage was withheld (camera batteries in there) and he couldn't use his phone coz he only had google maps & OS etc, so he couldn't use his phone at all, also another vid the guy was turned away from many Hotels as they didn't want Foreign tourists. So i won't visit China if the hassles and crazy and there is virtually no help, unless you do an organized tour, but i am not into massive tour groups etc. I can see things improving over time etc.

One thing I learned after visiting China is if you phone is dead you're pretty much cooked. You need a phone to buy those battery pack charger.
@dehua-273015 күн бұрын
uhm, if you are out of battery, you can't do much in pretty much everywhere else in the world. At least in China you have batteries packs everywhere available.
@cloudwithwind57413 күн бұрын
You just need to bring a charging cable! Even if you don't bring a charging cable, you can still ask someone to help you recharge at the place where you eat! In addition, there are rental power banks everywhere in China. When your phone is running low, you can definitely rent a power bank!
