I appreciate the video for people who are considering visiting my home.It was mostly accurate,but I had to call out the inaccuraries.Also, while doing doing Soufriere and Gros Islet might be good ideas for the most tourism activities especially if you teally have limited time,if you know St. Lucians there, you'll probably have a lot more fun hanging out with locals on a "round-de-island" and see places that tour companies might not bother to take you maybe because it is not quite touristy enough.Have the trusted local book the driver to take you and your group around the island (roadtrip).It will probably beat the tours made just for tourists...as far as fun goes.The tour guide might give you more history and the fun facts they think the tourist might like to know, but the local who's your friend might not care as much about that,but you'll have a ball...Just saying..

I love that you guys get to stay and really get to know the essence of a country. Being there for the short time we were there left a lot to be desired. Now let me keep watching to see if you guys went to the ONLY place we went...the hot spring/mud bath place - lol
@LucasWorldTravel4 ай бұрын
Lol, yes we went there! It is a St. Lucia must! Have you even been to St. Lucia if you haven't been to the mud bath place?

This was very informative! We actually went to St. Lucia 13 years ago for our honeymoon and this would have been especially helpful back then because we knew almost nothing! We loved trying the Piton beer while snorkelling between the Pitons... that was pretty cool.

Nice! Glad to bring back some fond honeymoon memories!

Fun fact:Piton's tag line is "See the mountains,drink the beer" so that's a cool experience.lol

I love Soufriere. I visited 3 times and drove throughout the island. Next time go to Sapphire Falls and Sulphur Springs. I also ate lunch at Jade Mountain and breakfast at Sugar Beach and was able to explore their resort. A popular local beach is Malgretoute Beach which has beautiful colorful rocks! Project chocolate was also amazing! People are friendly and I didn't have any issues. Great video!

Thanks for the tips! Never heard of Sapphire Falls and Malgretoute Beach. Glad there’s a lot more to explore!

we invested in dry bags - backpack style. Now we haven't tried them in water other than rain yet...but its the same bags they use when we go whitewater rafting so it might be a solution to leaving things on the beach when you can just take your valuables with you in the water.
@LucasWorldTravel4 ай бұрын
We did that in Thailand, but I don't really like swimming with my valuables. I'm more afraid of them falling off in the ocean than I am afraid of them getting stolen actually.

The increased crime statistics are low compared to where I'm at I'm just a city of the U.S. Sounds great so far!
@LucasWorldTravelКүн бұрын
Yes, compared to quite a few US cities the crime rate in St. Lucia is lower.

Correction from a St. Lucian who lived there for most of her life and was there around 3 years ago...We do have official street names.People don't usually have exact addresses with numbers to mark their home addresses,but there are official street names.There might be colloquial unofficial names that might be more known in some cases,but there is probably still an official name.Some areas might have a name (but not sure if all streets are named),but just about everywhere I have lived (including the last place I lived had an official street name).About Google Maps,maybe the majority of people can't use it,but of course there is an exception to every rule. Some do.Google Maps is just not something that is used by most people...and yes,people often give directions based on landmarks.lol .Maybe they might mention a mango tree while giving directions.

Oh yes..I have heard about some businesses listing numbers in their address in St. Lucia,although that is not always the case.

Do they have buses running for transport ? Is there public transport ?
@LucasWorldTravel28 күн бұрын
Yes, they use mini-buses as public transportation.

Many countries don’t have exact addresses and require locals to have a p.o.box.I’ve lived in the Caribbean, Central America, Africa and all required the aforementioned.
