I was looking at my aging face in the mirror one day and made a remark that I was starting to look like the cryptkeeper lol to my man of 23 year long relationship. A few days later, he asked me if I wanted to take a day trip to Victoria, BC. And we went. He bought me a dress (although I work) treated me to a nice dinner and on the way home bought me orchids. I asked him, what's up--it's not my birthday. He told me that he wanted me to know no matter how old I get--to be a white haired little old lady--that I would always be loved by him. He made me cry. I will be skipping anti-aging cosmetic surgery that doesn change your real age anyways. Each and every line on my face represents the depth and bonds of a lifetime of relationships.and life's journey with those I love. I don't want to hide that.

Please understand that not everyone has the same ideas as you. Some people, for example, are unlucky with the arrangement of their muscles and develop unnecessary wrinkles at a young age. Others have inherited poor skin quality. Cosmetic corrections may not change the age, but it does change the satisfaction of these people.

I agree, but physicians that do questionable procedures often say they are big into patient autonomy and that it’s the patient’s call for their own body. And that is true to a degree….competent (in the legal sense) adults have the final say and can absolutely refuse treatments that would be dangerous or even fatal to decline. The doctor can only describe the treatment options, their own risks and the risks if not done, but the patient decides.

People forget sometimes that aging is part of life. All the work done on their faces will just never age pretty. When you get old, skin will naturally get thinner and everything in your body will deteriorate so it will not look nice as time goes by. I rather have some wrinkles and age gracefully and not risking my life to look fake. As self conscious that i am, God made me the way I am and I'll embrace it.

I had plastic surgery in December of 2022, to remove a huge fat apron. Between 2 pregnancies, PCOS and hypothyroidism, my stomach got large. Now I can actually do a full sit-up, and I can sleep more comfortably. I did this because no amount of diet and exercise would be able to get rid of it. I was affected physically, mentally and emotionally. Now I'm better in all of the areas. For me, it was the best decision I ever made. And no, I'm not getting any more surgeries. And before anyone says that I should have talked to a therapist, I did and she said that if it puts my physical and mental health in the right place, she saw nothing wrong with it. I have no regrets.
@marciturner4980 Жыл бұрын
That's not plastic surgery. That is just normal surgery to get fat out. Plastic surgery is reconstruction which transforms your body from its original creation they were born with. Changing your original appearance to look like someone else, and have artificial implants put inside you is plastic surgery. Taking extra fat out is not plastic surgery. Otherwise, taking out tumors, having knee surgery, etc would be called plastic surgery. Your body was never altered to look different from how God originally created you. There's a difference.

I know, personally, what multiple surgeries can do to the body. I had 12 major surgeries on my femur, and every bone in both legs, heels, and all 10 toes following a near deadly MVA in Dec 2020. Most if my bones were crushed from the knees down. I finally had my last surgery last July to put a solid rod in my tibia, through to my heel, to the arch in my foot to try to get me walking again. That last surgery, #13, almost killed me! I went into shock an hour after surgery. Still don't know why after a complete blood panel. I then came home and contracted SIRS and sepsis, and was rehospitalized for a other week. Fast forward 8 months, and I can now take around 20 steps without assistance and getting better every day. I don't want another surgery of any kind as long as I live! I don't understand how people are addicted to surgery.

When I was 13 I was involved in a car accident which resulted in me going through the windscreen ,this was pre seatbelt laws. I was badly scarred and lost the sight in my left eye. As you can imagine I was devastated and underwent surgeries to smooth out scarring and make me look somewhat normal. The sights I saw in the hospital from burns accidents and the like made my injuries seem pathetic in comparison and from them on I learnt to love myself scars and all. The people in these videos are vain nothing more , and have no need for surgery. They obviously have mental health issues too and the doctors who continue to operate on these poor individuals should be made accountable for their actions. If you had the insight I had in seeing people with real issues like burns and more you would appreciate the way God made you . There is nothing attractive about a trout pout or extremely huge breasts . I have no idea where this trend came from but it's hideous. All of the people in the video were perfect before surgery and didn't need it, now they look like freaks it's not normal.

I am so glad I haven’t had any more surgery than what I did. I had a rhinoplasty when I was 26 in the US. Although I wasn’t 100% happy with the results I never had anything else done. I remember asking my dermatologist when I should plan on having a facelift (I was in my mid thirties at the time). He said most probably never. He told me that my bone structure was so good that he didn’t think I’d ever need more than having my eyes done, sometime in my mid sixties. He was right. However due to lack of funds and my husband’s severe health problems, I never was able to get the surgery. At almost 70 I’ve found that a change in eye makeup helps a lot and because I followed the doctor’s orders in taking care of my skin, I have very few wrinkles. I’m way too scared to even think of a tummy tuck but am going to work on reshaping my abdomen via a program called Body Flex. I’d like to get a breast lift/reduction but am not sure. It will be done the US certainly. At my age and as a widow who doubts there will ever be another man in my life, do I really need it? Probably not.

Unfortunately I’ve had so many surgeries that I gave up counting at 130. I had 3 children under 3 and a half before one huge surgery that went terribly wrong and I got down to 37kg and had a newborn baby to care for. I have trauma from waking during surgery, but the next anaesthetist wouldn’t believe me until I told him to read the notes. No apology, he still refused the pre-med I’d asked for. . Not one of those was body enhancement. My only muscle graft was to rebuild a damaged organ. After all I’ve been through I’d never willingly have a surgery for looks alone.

Are you a natural redhead by chance? I am and have been told my issues with anesthesia is from my redheaded gene. I don’t numb, either. Every single time I have been sedated I’ve woken up. I was awake for an entire sinus surgery. My breast cancer surgeon took it seriously, but after my lumpectomy I kept waking up frantic wanting to escape my bed. So, I know I woke up during it, too. Just thankful there’s no memory of it. I don’t even remember being wheeled into surgery. I have high blood pressure to boot and before every procedure they have to bring my bp down before they can start because I am so afraid of my sedation issues. Have been told several times it’s due to being a natural redhead and carrying that gene, it makes us harder to treat pain wise and with sedatives and numbing medications. It’s just a shame none of the biopsy techs believed me. I have to scream out in pain before they administer more lido, smh. I’ll never do another one again! Stage 4 now anyways.
