I love to put buttons (1 or 2) over ribbon that goes across a card. It's a nice touch instead of always putting a bow. I have a sketch that I want to try and it makes a beautiful Christmas card. I haven't done it yet because I want to give it to someone special. It's made with buttons and brads, like a wreath. When we redid our basement, part of it was our office (we always have one). This time, though, it was made for 4 people since we still had 2 children at home. We went to IKEA and make a 20' long desk with 4 chairs and space facing the wall (so we wouldn't drop anything behind). When my daughter left I took over her room for crafting. I used to work on the freezer and my dining room table, with boxes all around, repacking everything for supper time. Good to see you back, TFS Nicole from Canada

I always feel that watching your videos is like getting a breath of fresh air. Thanks for reminding me that I need to use all of those buttons that I forget about. I am sure that you understand that back in the day when I first saw a button on a card, I had to go out and get packs of buttons of every color! Right! You had some cute ideas. JD, you go right ahead and ramble. I always get a kick out of your ramblings. 😁 We love using buttons for items here. My little cousins n my Godson made fun bowls from tara cotta pot bases. We glued them inside then filled in with plaster. Buttons are fun! Another idea is to use bakery string on the balloons for strings and tie a bow with the string. Love your craft ideas. They are real and they are affordable. Inne of the many reasons I enjoy your videos.

I haven't read through all the comments but I remember back in the day, Stampin' Up! used to sell sets that would stamp the whole image, but the images were designed that you could use a button for the wheels, balloons, heads, etc of the images if you wanted, and of course they sold just the right size. If I had to guess, I bet they were a size you couldn't get *anywhere* else. BUT, this got me thinking that we all probably have stamps in our stash that we could use standard size craft buttons as part of the design. I know I have stamps with vehicles, so the next time I can get in the craftroom I plan on shopping my stash to see what images lend themselves to that technique. Then the surrounding stamped line will finish off the picture without me having to freehand anything!

You can make a cute bird with a button. Glue it down, draw beak and legs and cut out a small wing shape and glue on.
