15 weeks old boxer puppy in training session. He is pretty smart for a 4 month puppy, we learned him several commands.

I thought it was illegal internationally now. I really cannot understand why anyone would want to dock a boxers tail or eyes. Besides being cruel, it is the most expressive parts of a boxers communication.

@@Tajhad I agree with you. I'd never do this to my boxer. The only thing to consider is to protect his tail from hitting objects when he is extremely happy. Boxers can hurt their tails in those situations. But even though I think they should have their tails. I always welcome my Dilon in the middle of the room, away from walls, table, chairs.

@@Tajhad You can edit your comment to fix the mistakes. From what I heard, some Boxers can have tumors forming on their tails which is why people dock their tails. Our family didn't dock our Boxer's tail when we had him. Fortunately, he didn't have any infections.

How much exercise did you have to give him at this age? how much is it now?

@whereis maggie Well, at that stage these were just beginnings. About one-two short (few minutes long) session daily. Puppies learn very fast and very effectively, they get bored quickly too. Now I'm almost not training him at all, just once per month or even less often. Keep in mind that I'm not a professional dog trainer.

@Mmm ll566y Jedzenie, a zwłaszcza coś co pies bardzo lubi jest bardzo silny bodźcem, można to właśnie wykorzystać w celu szkoleniowym. Po pewnym czasie pies przyzwyczaja się tak bardzo że wykona polecenia nawet bez otrzymania przysmaku. Z czasem ogromną nagrodą dla niego jest pochwała właściciela. Są to tzw odruchy Pawłowa. Na tym filmie przedstawiliśmy początki, później było lepiej. Ale żeby nie było że popadam w taki samozachwyt, sytuacja zmienia się gdy wyjdzie się z psem na zewnątrz, wtedy inne otoczenie, inne bodźce bardzo psa rozpraszają. Dlatego trzeba ciągle pracować z psem, zmieniać warunki, miejsce itd.

@Mmm ll566y Widzę że piesek chyba wychował sobie Ciebie a nie Ty pieska😀 W trakcie szkolenia należy powoli odchodzić od smakołyka, ale tak żeby pies czuł satysfakcję z chwalenia jego za wykonanie zadania i tylko wtedy gdy pies nagradzany smakołykiem wykonuje zadanie perfekcyjnie. U nas też nie jest perfekcyjnie ale pracujemy nad tym😀 Polecam bokserki!!! Jeśli ktoś ma boksera to już innego psa nie będzie mieć. Boksery to złodzieje serc😍❤🐕🐾

Indeed they are not aggressive but keep in mind that boxers are great guard dogs. Boxers instinctively protects their owners and familly, as soon as they notice aggressive behavior towards the owner they want to protect. Me personaly would never attack anyone who has a boxer dog.

@Saleem Butt He got pieces of sausage at that time. However, we moved to dog treats from dog food producer. The reason was that boxer dogs tend to have alergy. Dilon didn't have it but we wanted to avoid that.
