my biggest problem with phantom menace was the lack of development of darth maul. You never really learn anything about him other than him being a sith lord. So much potential to build him up as a bad guy that was missed

This is what's so funny about Star Wars (although it's an intentional tradition) First movie, the hero is from a desert planet, gets away from the desert planet, destroys an enemy base, seems to have won, only to see in the next movie that the enemy has only become stronger from their defeat, they return to the desert planet and get some character development.

That end scene where we got to see all the planets celebrating was pretty special, and letting Ian Mcdiarmid redo that one emperor scene in empire strikes back was kinda necessary. Now I don't like all the changes they made, eg I think the whole Han shooting second thing was stupid, but I don't absolutely hate all the changes. I just think that they should release the original version AND the edited version, that way everyone can see all the versions and enjoy whatever type they like. In all honesty tho, I mainly just want to see the extended versions of the prequels. Some of the deleted scenes they had were actually pretty good and I'm curious as to what else they had filmed.

@@more-reasons6655 I think you misunderstand me, I like many parts of Star Wars, clone wars, mandalorion seasons 1 and 2, rebels, the extended universe books, Andor and many Star Wars games, I like most of Star Wars, but what I don't like is adding CGI where it isn't needed and destroying entire story lines to make Anakin "cry baby" Skywalker the hero, I can like something and still hate parts of it. And if they didn't want me to disagree with them then they shouldn't have put their opinions on the internet. I am a true Star Wars fan, I don't have to agree with you and worship George Lucas to be a fan, I will continue to have my opinion and continue to talk about no matter what you say.
