Unlike most people I like their designs. But in the end its impossible not to talk about the price, its unforgivable. Its definitely higher quality than what we used to get on MH G1 playline (like duh for the price it should be, but some skullectors still fall flat compared to old releases) but its not enough to justify 150 dollars. Excited to see the details on the rest of the ghouls though! I love the way they are displayed in the box.

14:32 a designer pointed out that when they sent these into production they made sure to triple the amount of glossing on the eyes so its extra intentional, I expect all of them to be as glossy as this one, maybe even more.

I personally don't plan on getting any of the dolls, but I'm really glad you were able to get her! I hope everyone that wants them are able to buy them. I will say that you made me appreciate her design a bit despite me still not wanting her.

My biggest complaint regarding this doll is that I feel the color aesthetic is all over the place: minty-green skin tone with bright pumpkin orange eye shadow and hair highlights combined with black hair, lips, and dress with red accents in the dress and the glove? I don't see the cohesion and the colors do not blend in harmony. Also, I wouldn't have minded them reusing an already existing sculpt, but at least make a new facial screening. They instead made a clone Lagoona and it looks cheap. Overall, the collection is weak and it doesn't help that most of these have this weird green skin combined with muted colors. I do give them props and extra points because they at least tried to do something different with Symphonee Midnight with the whole skull inside the clear head sculpt, but then again that alone does not justify the ridiculous retail price.

I agree, even though the color scheme gives Halloween vibes it just doesn't work on this doll. Without the red MAYBE but that's still far from harmonious imo. The random red stitch, just why? I hate to say it but this is one of the most off putting dolls I've ever seen, for my tastes. Symphony and the one with the checkered dress are the best two for me but I won't be buying any of them.

Is she FABULOUS.....HELL YES!!! She's absolutely fantastic as a pure designer vision, but the price is a bit ridiculous! I may be wrong. I had not even heard of the fashion brand "off white" till these dolls showed up. I just love "monster high" and these go with that sort of avantgarde vibe that monster high was, in my opinion, all about. This doll is wonderful, and the packaging is so strong and innovative that I hop back and forth on whether or not it's worth $150.00. Maybe it is, and we don't know it because we've been conditioned by competitive mass production priced dolls. I can not afford her, but if I could, I would definitely buy one!

I don't know if i will get the other 3, but i really loved the punk rock aesthetic, the name Electra, and the sea monster theme. I think the clothes seem to be elevated, which is nice, but also, i would have hated to sleep on the first one, and then realize later i should have purchased her. I can't say that i am happy about the price point, but it is what it is.

To avoid flaking I like to use clear nail polish over little metallic areas and it really does help keep the metal look much longer

Her hairstyle is actually STUNNING. I'm not a high fashion girlie myself but even I am not immune to the charms of monster dol. Super striking doll (still a pass from me due to budget limitations!)

I think that what I like least about this collection is the acetate box, I mean for 150 USD could be acrylic, the acetate over time simply would make yellow and break. I have feelings found, but definitely if I could buy the other girl with a transparent face and ponytail, I think it is the one I like the most in terms of design

What one thing about this designer collab is I wished Mattel stated an edition size on the box/COA so it feels like you're paying a premium product and it was only limited to 1000 - 3000.

I think it is exciting that they did a collab with another brand, the dolls are well done and interesting. Collabs are a really neat way to add diversity and options to a line. I do kinda feel like this collab would have better suited Barbie and perhaps a more goth or lolita brand would have been more appropriate for MH. This doll is probably the least interesting of the four for me, she is not really my style personally. At this price point, these dolls will cost me about $250 CAD so i may just pick my favourite one if i get one at all. I really appreciate your in depth review and honest opinion, it is nice to be able to at least see the doll in detail if we were not able to get her 💙💗💙💗💚❤

imo her hair is the coolest detail. I’m not a fan of the simple high fashion look and her makeup is too simple for me. Definitely not worth the price, I wished they came up with better designs but here’s hoping they do better collaborations in the future.

The stiletto galoshes are hilarious. The gathering of the skirt is ruching, and the gloves are ruched as well. It's definitely a body-conscious form of draping and the idea of luxury being reflected in the use of excess fabric or excessive fabric, like the Renaissance slashed sleeves and lots of precious metal embroidery and velvet, for example. So it's very sort of tongue-in-cheek, I guess. I saw someone call the fashion "subtly ironic." If you want to see the runway look, google Off-White’s spring/summer 2018 ready-to-wear show and it's slide 11/38.

I don't know much about fashion and the base dolls aren't all that exciting, except for maybe skull face who I don't think is that cute, so these were an easy pass. Even if they were $25 the only one I'd probably bother with is the one with the wings. Electra has my favorite outfit out of the four, probably because it's the most simple/normal.

Of the 4 dolls, I think she’s the most meh, but I really love her hair! She’s very nice but nothing apart from the hair makes me think ‘wow’. I have never heard of off white until this collab so no idea how she represents it. I’m interested to see what the other 3 dolls are like, but I’m probably gonna save my money and buy some second hand MH G1 dolls.

Ok so maybe you know from the sounds of it they sold all 4 dolls at their storefronts and released the one on mattel site. So are they going to be doing the other 3 on mattel site at some point cause the way it read sounded like not... it be nice to get the green one I didn't get this one cause I liked the other one better and at 150 each had to decide between her and the vampire heart draculaura which is way better I think then these. The dolls are cool to look at and I think if they used a simpler box design they could have made them cheaper. But comparing the off-white dolls to other new releases, vampire heart, I think they aren't as good.

I’m sorry but neither this doll nor the others measure up to literally the best MH doll ever : Vampire Heart Draculaura. She is so much more beautiful than this, more detailed and LESS EXPENSIVE ? Not by a lot, granted, but like MH just showed us that they were capable of doing something otherworldly at a better price than this. VH Draculaura is definitely not a reasonable price and I personally don’t have the money for her, nor do I for the Off-white dolls, but I would NEVER shit on Draculaura’s price because when I see her, I TOTALLY understand. This, however ? This is a joke. The box is ugly, the doll is ugly -I’m sorry but she really is ugly- and Mattel had beautiful dolls made in the past WITHOUT ANY LUXURY BRAND so I really do not understand what’s going on. Thank you for the review though, as always, I really appreciate the truth and simplicity of your videos and they truly help me choose my dolls sometimes❤❤ As someone who doesn’t have the money for the Off-white dolls or for Vampire Heart Draculaura, I would totally go out of my way to get Draculaura, but not any of these. There are 4 dolls and three of them have missed ! Only one of them is a little coherent but that’s it ! Their designs and colours are all over the place and it really isn’t pleasing to the eye. Was this doll 20 dollars I would NOT have bought her, I really feel like they allowed it to be ugly SOLELY because it was a designer brand. It’s no excuse for me. How is it that the Barbie collab with Pink Magnolia was $100, but this is 50% more, when Barbie is usually the one that is over-priced? Barbie has collaborated with all kinds of designer brands in the past like Burberry and Coach, and they were pretty pricey. Burberry Barbie was $80 in 2001, and Coach Barbie was $95 in 2013, for comparison.
