1500HP Toyota MR2 Turbo! *COMING BACK FOR THE RECORD!*

Taking a trip down to Century Motorsport, we went to see Nathans billet block Toyota MR2 Turbo drag car! This is currently running 1200HP with the cast block, running a 8.3s down the 1/4 mile, but soon will running around 1500-1600HP with the billet block running a ???? down the 1/4 mile! The record currently held by Kyle with the Boosted Boiz is 7.9s, do you think Barney the purple MR2 will make a comeback?

Josh’s records is in a class of its self because he did it with an h-pattern and his car is a registered street car with power windows and full interior. Both Kyle and Nathan’s cars are caged race cars.

Have you see it? I’ve seen Kyle car in person a few times at shows and at the track. His car is not slapped together. His car is a designated race car with a lot of quality parts and craftsmanship. I understand you’re clearly biased towards Nathan’s car as is the guy in the video. But to say that Kyle’s car is “slapped together” is a stretch and just sounds ignorant. You notice that neither Kyle or Josh have ever said anything negative about Nathan’s car? However, that’s all you ever hear from the 3s/5sgte guys. Just a bunch of hate. 1500hp or not, Nathan has a tall order to conquer with both Josh’s car and Kyle’s car. They both smashed Nathan’s previous record and Josh did it with a full street car with a/c and powered windows. Kyle’s car made over 1500hp on the previous setup and now with the bullet block, it will be capable of close to 1800hp. We shall see.

@@gmadgengarage It’s ok, we can have different opinions, that doesn’t make it ‘hate’. I’ve seen Nathan’s car in the flesh several times and it looks immaculate each time. Purely cosmetically, Kyle’s isn’t even close. The cage is unpainted, the doors don’t match the deck lid, the rear wheel arches are a mess as is the aluminium sheet riveted to the front end. I’m absolutely not debating the fact that it’s an incredible car and I hope both of them continue to get faster.
