If you want better air time there’s a trick called a low trick it cuts your air time in about half Also dk summit don’t shoot up the half lopes at that severe of an angle. It takes way more time than necessary.

Yes, I'm watching this 3 days late...I know, I'm badddd Also Wario BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO...jk but Waluigi is King!! The escalators on Lap 2 of Coconut Mall weren't going the same direction, they were switching directions. They were slowing down to prepare for the change. 8 Deluxe helped visualize that with the arrows, but they don't look as good as Wii imo. ALSO, 2nd on that track is...something... "If I get a star, I'm gonna be very shocked.." Little did Savannah know what was ahead of her LOL WOOOOO ONE STAR!!!! This is amazinggg!! Great video as always, Savannah!

1 star with a second place is huge. quite impressive! there aren't a whole lot of ways to get low air in coconut mall that don't require some precise inputs, but one thing you can always do is nosedive to land a bit sooner. I think you tilt the wii wheel forward to do that? on a traditional controller you hold up on the control stick by the way, a lot of characters/vehicles are unlocked via time trials, if that's something you're interested in. funky kong, for example, is unlocked by unlocking 4 expert staff ghosts. toadette is unlocked by completing a time trial on every track. some vehicles are unlocked this way too.

GGs on that star rank. Here's a mildly hot take: I get why Nintendo removed the FIB (Fake Item Box) starting in 7, but I kinda like that it's a good trapping item. If you hit it, you'll get stunned for longer than a banana, and its hotbox is quite big, making it ideal for trapping good racing lines and shortcuts when playing with others. Yeah, it sucks that you can't defend yourself with it, but I don't think 1st play should be guaranteed a form of red shell protection, as it adds a bit of risk/reward strategy - do you want to roll for another/better item, for do you want to play it safe and keep what you have? Keeps things interesting.

I do agree that it's a nice item. I see why Nintendo got rid of it due to them adding the coin item in 7. 1st place doesn't need two different items that they can't block with. But I see the strategy with the FIB!

Another tip is when you're in first and you have a banana or a fake item box in the middle of your trick animation throw it forwards and it will falling backwards at a rapid speed and will most likely hit the other CPUs

You did super well Samantah!! Also you should use two out of the three bananas in triple bananas since if you get hit by a red shell, they will be all gone even if you have all 3 defending you!!!

I suggest backing your items a little bit before the finish line so you could possibly hit the CPUs and have a better lead in case you get hit by a blue shell on the line or something

If you want to minimize airtime you have to low trick off the escalator but it is really challenging
