I love budget builds. I like to see what everyone is coming up with. I think we all can say that just because it is a budget doesn’t mean it can’t look good. I have been building my system for a while and trying to stay under $500. That means do all the work myself.

You mean I bought $200 worth of birch plywood for nothing... Keep the videos coming what kind of glue /construction adhesive would you recommend going straight to the body of the car in between the birch and the cab all the construction adhesives look like they're the same but I have no idea if they hold up to the vibration and yes foam, screws ,and bolts where i can get them are being used

Any updates man mine will be done by end 2020 it consists of 2xcomp 12s on SD 3k or maybe two 2k amps in a 35hz tuned enclosure and i want two or 4x 15 inch Pro Audio mids for my doors and two big boy tweeters cause the mids i Dj with have no equal in the midbass range 40 to 60hz and bandwidth is my idea here 25hz to 55hz i like so yeah end goal is 145 to 152db on music

Great vid Jacob. I've actually heard 3 15s in an old school Mazda sealed with a old school ppi daily driver doing 150 and you can look out the back window, no wall. I've seen most of your vids. It chokes on high bass because of the shape of the port (it's to flat like a slot port) if it was more square that would help.

The Orion XTR2500.1 is a beast. That's the other reason he hits 150DB. You can put out 6500 rms out of the 2500.1. Awesome job bro

Yes it is Orion gets away with the 2500 at "12 volts" but starting at 14.4 volts or so your getting a lot more power than 2500. I have 1 of these amps. Ran it in my escalade on 2 zvx 18's worked great for a couple weeks then started having some feedback through the subs until it warmed up. Replaced it with the sk 3.500 never had an issue with. The Orion was noticeably louder. The Orion guys gave me the run around for a couple yrs still haven't repaired it. I found a company in Florida that will fix it up. Which I'll do soon because I still have a complete Orion system to install in something.

Wow so this is interesting cause this is almost the same idea as what i had for a system. Monoblock: Orion 3000.1Splx or the XTR 2500.1 4 channel amps: Starsound 700.4 Rockford fosgate mids & highs 2 x Targa Venom 15's they run between 145DB to 153DB on music in prefab enclosures mine would be in 4th order custom box. aiming for 150+ on music. these subs are rated 2500 watts each and is made to be musical behemoths not really low end monsters but funny enough mine likes 20;28 & 30hz quite a lot.

Back in the '90s I had a wall of 4 15" subs in a mini-truck and I too had an unfinished system cause I was building it as I had the time. While a ton of people said I have nice equipment there were lots that said man clean that up. When I hit 147.3db a lot of people told me to keep working on it. Sadly a month later someone broke into my truck and stole the subs..
