150db with 2 Sundown Audio X-6.5sw v.2's

This is the Journey of me chasing my goal to hit a 150db firing from the cargo area in a stock Nissan Versa. I compete in N.S.P.L. so I don't give out the specs of the build other then it is 2 Sundown Audio X-6.5sw v.2's in a series tuned 6th order, also the class I compete in as well as test for is an Outlaw style class so mic is in the kick. There is no need for me to test any other way with this setup. However it is about 1db less for legal sealed score for those that want to know. It is also my daily and far from a one note wonder box. I have done some eleminator runs with the set up that are 30 second music average runs. All my competing info can be located on Termpro as well as demo videos posted throughout Facebook. I've watched about 75 videos on small Sundown subs and this video was by far the best. The daughter's designs, the wife's support, Forza background, trophies, medals, setting goals and obtaining them. There's a lot of stuff crammed into this little 3 and a half minutes and I loved all of it ❤

This has been out for 3 weeks and I'm just now watching it. Everything happens for a reason. As you know Ronnie, I'm working on my ownv6.5 build and that I'm out of work due to my back, surgery back in April, and 2 more surgeries. It's dang near impossible to do any thing with my build but it keeps happening. Others in this hobby keep helping me out and donating. Just when my pain and depression about take over, I have this pop up on my computer's screen....not my phone...lol! Watching this just reminded me of your story and your hard work. That no ONE has it easy on this planet. Each person has their own struggles and it's real to them. So, I pick up my notes, my sketches, and I get back to studying and designing. Once again, it was so great to get to meet you and the rest of the crew at the Ruckus event last month. All of you said it would be worth the 3.5 hour drive, and it was! Brianna (my GF) and I had fun, learned a lot, and decided that we would do something in this field together. It was and honor to get several demos and videos with you but it was priceless to see just how great you and the others are willing help out and share information.....and omg....ENCOURAGE! Keep doing what you do....and thank you for all you do for this sport and hobby!

Ronnie Mr6.5 Smith Thanks! Im just trying to figure out how to put 3 generations of Rockford Fosgate amps in my Ranger....with my box! When it's done I'll be able to flip from the middle 90s Punch black grill amps to the early 2000s Punch red chrome amps and then to the current Punch Boosted Rail Technology Mini amps. Lots of Technology and it will also show how America made amps that are 25 years old and still playing with no repairs and right there fighting side-by-side the current competition! Who knows there may be a fourth rack... The ones that started it all... And I have Molex plugs! 45, 75, 150!

You sir are a true amazing father and family man! Hopefully one day when both of my daughters are grown up enough to help me out to do car audio and mechanical work like this. That would be the greatest day for my lady and I. My 8 year old is just like me in every way:) She loves music, plays guitar, drums and loves car audio as much as I do. When my lady and I have our baby girl in December. Will point her in the right direction! :D We like the Design of the enclosure and all the effort you and your family has put into it. Enclosure estimate: 0.25 cube per sub chamber (0.2 after sub displacement) using 1.6" port by 22" long tuning to around 34hz. Main chamber 3.6 cube (2.6 cube including internal enclosure & port displacement) with 7.5" diameter by 6.5" long port tuning to around 62hz, possibly an 8" port which would raise tuning to around 64hz. Internal box dimensions 32" long by 14" high by 14" deep.

Jesus. I just watched Big D Wiz's video on the Kicker L7 quad box putting out 150db... to put into perspective that's 4 12s and a LOT more power... This is insane for 2 subs that tiny. Granted, the box is probably just as big, but the point remains :P

What box design is that? Definitely not a simple ported enclosure, so this result is not obtainable for someone that would be using this size of sub due to physical limitations.

Yes it is a 6th order bandpass and it’s utilizing the series concept of a 6th order bandpass with aero ports from the chambers that have the subs mounted to them that feed into the main box that has one port tuned to a higher frequency
