That's why people like companies like Vortex and others. That warranty and the people's attitudes at said companies. I was thinking about a Huxwrx Ventus and maybe Aero Lahar 30L, but this thing is wow. Want a 30 cal JK for hunting rifles and my .300 BLK Super Home Defense gun. I want another 9mm CCX for my P365X Macro.

I just bought the 155 VERSAX and I was watching some reviews on it, and they said the can gets very hot with very little rounds down range. The review also said that it damages the can.

Costa did a great job explaining so we’re glad you watched it. The VERSAX series is more for sporting use. They aren’t meant for the burn it down type. If you want burn it down…you should grab our SBRX.

@@tsim4139 It’s an aluminum suppressor, not going to be great for an AR platform durability wise. Maybe a few 300 Blackout supers every once in a while, but otherwise mostly just 9mm, 300 subsonics, and other pistol calibers.

I am interested in the least additional 8nches and OZs being added to my 450 Bushmaster AR with full velocity hunting ammo, to get it under the hearing loss / pain threshold, especially if shot from a box blind. How will your 155 Versaz 45 perforom in that role?

We don't have dB numbers for your specific setup (which would also vary based on model and tuning of the gun itself) so cannot ensure it would be under the hearing loss / pain threshold (the pain thing also varies per person) but, yes, that's a pretty darn good use for that suppressor given that you're trying to stay as short and light as possible. The VERSAX version has only five baffles, so it's likely about as small as it could get on full power 450 Bushy and still result in an acceptable amount of sound reduction for comfortable hunting type use. I'd run that myself for sure. However, you could also use our Custom Shop configurator to build yourself a VSX suppressor from scratch, and effectively do the same thing as the VERSAX 45 but build it with like 7 baffles. You can test with that and then remove baffles down to where it gets to your ideal balance of length, weight, and sound suppression. FWIW we *do* have a process where we can amend your ATF information and add baffles to an existing silencer like a VERSAX 45, should you buy that setup and then decide you'd like to try it with another baffle or two on the end. It's fairly simple and we'd just charge you for the additional baffles after you mail your existing silencer in to have us amend its official configuration. So...lots of options! But I think the VERSAX 45 will be enough for your intended use, yes :-)
