The knowledge and personal experiences you guys share in your videos always motivate me to become a better trainer and guide for my own clients, as well as improving my own life. The cognitive portion of things really hit home for me as I’ve had a grandmother who, when alive, started with dementia and then to Alzheimer’s. Knowing I can aid someone in reducing their risk of cognitive issues really is just something else.. It’s enlightening to be a part of a community where we can change lives for the better, including the ones we care about. Thanks for such VALUABLE information!

Hi. I just found you guys two months ago after doing some research to help me re-enter the gym after 4 years off from injuries and chronic pain from what I now know was incorrect movement/posture technique type things and hyper flexibility. Since my first week back so much pain has subsided and my body is strong and reshaping in small but noticeable ways but I still have muscle imbalances due to injuries and surgeries that your videos help SO much with. Thanks for everything.

I am so grateful that I found your podcast on KZbin! I love that you guys are intelligent, fun, and entertaining, and I particularly appreciate your holistic approach to fitness, health and wellness. I am a Certified Health Coach and also have a chronic condition (Polycystic Ovary Syndrome). Every time I listen to an episode, I feel like I am getting a masterclass. Listening to you has gotten me so excited about strength training (I'm a beginner) and I am so passionate about sharing the magic of strength training with my clients, as resistance training is extremely effective for managing PCOS, along with a PCOS friendly diet (one which focuses on reducing insulin resistance). Keep doing what you're doing!!!

I’ve heard you guys say that muscle is resistant. I recently had the opportunity to test this. About a month ago I hit my bench PR of 135. I was so excited. Unfortunately, we were scheduled to go on vacation. My husband and I were going to drive our son across the country to college (California to South Carolina). Then we were going to drive back, stopping to visit family and friends along the way. All-in-all, we traveled 7500 miles in 3 weeks. That meant sitting in the car for 8-10 hours a day and eating on the road. I decided I would just enjoy the trip and not worry about the crap I was putting in my body or lack of movement. We arrived home Friday, and on Saturday I went to the gym and benched 130! I couldn’t believe that after 3 weeks I had only lost a tiny bit of strength! Yes, I gained body fat, but I know that will fall right off this week as I get back to my training and better eating habits. Thank you guys for all you do to keep the world healthy! :)

Believing it is in your own control by changing eating habits is hard because that forces you to confront that it has been “you” (what you eat) all along. It gives you the control of the diet change along with the guilt that the additional fat on you currently is your fault. Be your own best friend and forgive the past so when you do “fail” again by slowly adding in the bad stuff without realizing it, you can forgive faster and correct faster.

Have to add in Knowledge, Knowledge is Court Mage (adviser) / Curia regis, exercise is King, diet is Queen. Without Merlin, King Arthur, would not be King and probably born, without Seer Sal, Mage Justin and Shaman Adam and Enchanter Doug with his googling, I would be in boot camps till I capped there and then probably would have gone to Crossfit and with pre-existing hip and shoulder things, I would be in Othro's offices often. I knew weights were good and have always liked them and being strong, even as a teen girl, but would not know to focus on loaded weight lifting, and be doing circuits with 10 lb db squats + Shoulder press or heavy weighted snatches for time - no matter what my form is. You guys are like Yoda with Luke and Qui-Gon Jinn with Anakin - both Luke and Anakin could tap into the force, but without teachers and knowledge they would not have gone as far as they did. You guys help people go far and enable them to know how to become Masters, which is best gift you can give anyone. To discussion on Exercise and Nutrition - Are there studies that show exercise, itself, promote better nutrition choice. I have struggled with weight, energy and hormones my whole life, and I know when I exercise, my body craves better fuel. I can never clean up my diet without starting exercise first, my body stops craving empty food and demands good fuel. It is like when you guys were going into Quah couple days ago about soreness -- and people that do not exercise were not in tune with their body, I personally think that same is true for nutrition, that people are not intue with what their body wants, and if they listen, and pushing your body just makes it speak louder it screams for better fuel, and folks that are all about the diet, I think need to listen to you guys more and try loading their body, and if they listen to their body, their body will want and will be easier to maintain better eating choices.
