Here at Shawnee Hills Workshop, a top priority is taking care of my family. I want to be prepared for the things that come up in everyday life from something as simple to falling in a mud puddle to something as serious as trauma. I feel as the leader of the household it is my responsibility to prepare for such situations to be able to take care of myself and my loved ones. As I was fitting out my newest vehicle addition I figured I would record it and show you guys how I set up my vehicles.

Totally awesome and not over done. To many times "prepared" people think going all doomsday is being prepared. But I think if you aren't practical, educated and proficient with your gear you'll be more hindered than helped. I use metal 50cal amo boxes for ratchet straps, bungees etc etc. Milk crate 1 to hold chains and shackles milk crate 2 holds fluids jet tall bottle Jack with tire repair kit. And I think we have the same weather guard box, you are right they are so much nicer than the home dumpo special. I don't know about you but after becoming a parent my preparedness goals shifted from being the bad ass outdoorsman to the yes I've got gold fishes fruitsnacks and juice boxes in the cooler and no, there is no beer in it.

Wow, great job, a couple of things I noticed missing is a gallon of water and a pee bottle. Being in the South West stuck in traffic in 110 degree temps is pretty common. I would also suggest leaving a copy of each vehicle spreadsheet in the glove box of each vehicle. Having a list of everything in front of you will help when making a plan to solve bigger problems. This video has me thinking and will be going back to watch again to take notes. Will also be keeping my eyes open at garage sales and thrift stores for organizing bags/crates/totes etc. Excellent video

The pee bottle will be added! Can’t add water because it’s below freezing at night right now, but we usually put it in the spring time. And the list do stay in the glove box. I should have mentioned that. That’s the whole reason why I had all 3 of the list and forgot to say it.

Hey Wes, you made me smile tonight. With the exception of the logging gear and clothing for everybody, I carry damn near everything you have but I am a bit more tactical. The one thing you don't have that I would add, is bear spray. One is none, two is one. Stay safe mi amigo...

Do you carry the bear spray to serve like pepper spray or actually for bears? We only have black bears around here and never felt threatened by them.

I DID NOT know this. I have actually looked online before to try and find out what each of the organizers in the lid were meant for and could never find anything. I will check it out and see if I can move my kleenex!

i use lithium batteries because they are good till -40, though the highs can some times be -40 lol . lot of good things to have in your vehicle , i cant really keep many liquids in my vehicles because they will freeze but i have a good emergency winter package set up i should get another lighter and matches , mine went missing this summer , though i always have a high powered laser or two on with me that can ignite fires,light up an area or help get spotted by people 20+ miles away :D i thought the tool box lid was going to smack the glass and then slam on your hand O_O
