You've done a marvelous job here, Julie! I really love these molds. The bubbles make it look like a clear, starry midnight sky behind the dragon eyes and claws. It's absolutely gorgeous! I love watching your videos, and I learn so much from them as well. Thank you!!!!

I bet if you added a wee bit of glitter to your black, it would diminish the appearance of those little bubbles. I love these unique, cool little coasters. Love to see you make more.👍🏼💕

For your leftover resin, when you want to poor out the leftover, but you just need a little more. I bought some small stones at the hobby shop, neon pinks, green, blue. They are real stones so its even mor cool. So for the 2 hearts, i’d just drop a couple of these neon rocks into the leftover. Just a thought. I think i need to make myself a KZbin page for all the tips.

JULIE. I just discovered that you can dust your molds with fine glitter and get a similar effect that you get with the foils. DID YOU KNOW THIS? The possibilities are endless. Endless I say.

These are SO COOL! Even though the claws and eyes aren’t quite as “shimmery” when embedded in the resin, they are perfect! It gives them sort of a dark, stormy, creepy vibe, which I think works beautifully with the dragon theme. Love them!

They are Katy Sue moulds that are made for fondant and paper clay. I have then and they are fab! I have some resin tape you can put around the sides of the eye mould so the resin doesn’t over flow the edges. Never thought of using them to put into coasters though! Great video as always Julie!

7:24 The middle is higher than the outside, because these aren't resin moulds, they're for creating an impression - pressing _in_ to things like cake fondant and clay. What you've done is created a successful hack! 🤗

I make molds and buy molds, in the case of these eyes, I would clean the mold really well and add a bead of clear silicon where the edge is. This way i can fill past the original molds height. Sanding a little is better than trying to fix a mistake.

Absolutely beautiful as always, Julie! I would like to give u a suggestion for the next time u do these, I think it would look awesome if u could somehow make it look like the claws are tearing through the background. That might b a stretch to pull off, but if anyone can do it, u can!

Hiya, not sure if anyone else has said this, but the reason there isn't any sides to the eye mould, is because it wasn't designed for use with resin. I t was designed for use with polymer clay and other clays. They are used a lot for note book covers. Love what u did with them though and u could maybe add some silicone around the edge of the eye mould to make it like a more traditional resin mould. All the best, Diane, UK xx

Usually, you do things first and if there is a problem, I know what to avoid. In this case, I have this mold, and had the same problems you did. Great idea to snip that extra piece of silicone off. I got this to do a stash box with a gothic book look and quickly realized it was for clay. Still works though!

The reason ppl were saying don't do flashy lights or put a warning if you do it is because flashy lights can set of seizures for ppl who have epilepsy! Hope that helps..
