@@OneofInfinity. thank you very, very much. I wasn’t sure that painting scheme looked all that great. It was a little bit of a artistic maneuver. Something that I learned from a friend of mine who is an oil painter. He painted a couple of them to show me different painting styles, and I went from there.

You mentioned your 1859 French army and I would really like to see that, as I'm thinking of doing something similar. Also would like to see the Kingdom of Sardinia and Garibaldian troops, if you have them of course. :) Edit: looks like you already have Napoleon III army up on the channel. Anyway I'm stunned by how many armies you have and how detailed and comprehensive every one of them is, really epic work! 👍

Nice - this is an interesting and important period, and a major opponent for late Romans. I also forgot I have some of these I picked up 2nd-hand years ago.

@@oldschoolfrp2326 yes that’s how this arm is started. I had secondhand figures and then I bought some and then I acquired some and forgot would manufacture they were from, but decided I would do them anyway. I had some leftover party. All kinds of things went into this army.

Brother! Where did you get the miniatures? I’m looking to use the sassanid Persians as a bases for an Easterling army for Lord of the rings.

@@hurdleguy8014 hey thank you for your message. These figures were a mix of Essex, old glory, and a few odds and ends. If I were going to look at an Easterling arm, I might go for something a little bit more further east. Do you might look at khurasan. Their Tibetan line and even the Chinese. Tang! I know sounds silly but it does match more the look. I think a very orderly look big shields etc with barded horse etc might look wonderful. It’s an idea. I would look through different manufacturers to see. Even I saw today a 15mm printed eastern armies. Sprinkle some of these in. Could be lovely. Especially adding war elephants. You could convert xyston figures and their war elephants. A thought!!!!!!
