Firstly, here's hoping you had a wonderful Christmas. What a delight to listen & watch your review Kevin! You must be the most prolific producer of high quality finished wargames figures & armies on the planet, extraordinary achievement. The breadth & pace of your 'production' is breathtaking, that schedule of yours really pays dividends. In fact, whilst I've personally never collected or painted to a schedule, it's a hobby...why would I? The answer has been made very clear, you've made me think that perhaps I should. Bravo! Really enjoyed your video Kevin. Happy New Year!

@@matth4352 man first of all thank you for your wonderful words. I even read them to my wife. And she was in agreement. You’re right it is a hobby and should remain such. I think each one of us approach our hobby differently. I didn’t always used to paint on a schedule. Bud I learned from watching my friends. They would be interested in an army painted for three weeks and then some movie would come out or some book and like the movement of the sea they were off to something else. They never did finish any of the armies they started. Most of those in my club and group today all have about 12 to 15 projects going at the same time. They don’t ever seem to finish anything. But complain that their pile of lead and plastic keeps getting higher and higher. I had a friend of mine passed away, and all he had was around 30,000 unpainted piles of lead. He had painted maybe 5% of it. I decided at that time that I painted what I bought and I didn’t move onto the next. It’s like buying groceries leaving it in the refrigerator and never eating it just to throw it away. So I focus maybe that’s a better thing. I buy an army or collect the figures I research and I don’t allow myself to be distracted. I put them on a painting schedule and just enjoy the moment of painting that unit or two or three. So I am hobbing, but I created more focus within my hobby to make sure that I had something finished to play with. And after all of these years, I ended up with 250,000 of those little suckers. Maybe someday you’ll come and visit my house is always open. It’ll take you a good two days to get through the collection however. But oh what a fun two days

@thekrausecollection15mmmin5322 күн бұрын
@@justinskol597 thank you for your inquiry. Well, I have seen the warlord Epic scale and I would say they’re quite a bit smaller. The epic seems to be around 12 mm. What’s interesting is I think that you can make 10 mm in with Epic and it looks fine. I have always collected 15 mm because that’s what was always available to me. I think with 28 mm and 15 mm as just a general rule the variety of figures that you can purchase is huge. I always like a little bit of variation and action when I build things. With Epic everybody’s in a line in a row and looks a little bit static to me. But size does matter. I think the Epic has made it a little easier painting because you don’t have to paint 360° around the figure. And it’s easy to just snap on a base. I think both are all right. It’s just how you feel when you have them in your hands.I have a friend that just absolutely loves the Epic scale when he touches them and paints them and gets all excited. Then I have others that have gotten the spruce of Epic and thought what the hell is this for. But my army or armies from this. Are huge and vast and I just like them.
