Tbh the GBA raimi Spider-Man movie tie in games are insanely underrated and deserve more attention imo. They basically take the formula for spideys stages, having things around the stage you need to collect and web swinging as a focus, only the stage designs are actually fair and well designed, the sprites are large and well animated(in the case of the first two, the 3 tie in game has that ugly pre rendered gba syndrome) and they properly represent Spider-Man’s power and abilities while not making it too easy or too hard. The shattered dimensions and web of shadows ds ports are amazing too.

I've actually never played any of those games, need to rectify that. I will say though that Web of Shadows is my favorite Spider-man game.

I don't know how many bits it is but Captain America and the Avengers was one of my favourite games to play in the arcade.

Great game, and it had console ports to the SNES and Sega Genesis.

"Spider-Man vs Kingpin" for the Genesis and Sega CD is perhaps the best 16-bit Spider-Man game.

Absolutely, for an otherwise mediocre game the music is excellent. Sunsoft always had a knack for including some killer music in their games though.

Great video Jim!!!! I had all of these games as a kid except Batman, I've never liked it because Batman looks kind of derpy but since you recommended I'll give it a shot, I beat all of these games as a kid but that is because I only got a new game like once or twice a year so I had to keep replaying what I had, I remember getting to the reset part in the Xmen game and not knowing what to do until one fateful day when I decided to hit the reset button, MIND BLOWN!!!!!!!!

PC Engine Batman admittedly looks kind of goofy, but it's surprisingly fun. Funny, I had the exact same experience with X-Men lol

wait, green jelly composed the OST for maximum carnage? I did really like the 'three little pigs' video, haha. did not know that, but neat! I think the only one of these I ever played was Genesis X-MEN! yeah it was a bit rough around the edges but I had some fun with it.

7:07 In Arcades Revenge, Wolverine does have a healing factor. You have to sheath his claws and you’ll see your health increase. Otherwise I agree with you. Decent game, but harder than it had to be. I also never beat it as a kid because I didn’t know you had to drop the weights directly on Juggernaut. They could’ve told us that and it still would’ve been hard as a 8 year old haha

I usually avoided super hero games back in the day because even way back when they already had such a bad reputation for completely sucking. The only 16-bit super hero game I remember actually spending any measurable time with as a kid was Death and Return of Superman on the SNES. It was okay, but it was another one of those side-scrolling brawlers defeated by its own lack of co-op multiplayer.

Yeah, that's a decent game. I'll be featuring some good games coming up, The Punisher, Spawn, Batman Returns, X-Men 2, there are more exceptional 16-bit superheroe games than you might think. Still, a lot of turds too though lol

Awesome as always. My personal favorite superhero game would have to be Spiderman for the PS1 just a great game. I also have to agree with you on the X-Men game for the Genesis it was really a love/hate relationship with that game

I can remember renting that game with a friend of mine when it first came out, had a lot of fun with it. My favorite Spider-man game just might be Web of Shadows though, the gameplay was so fluid and fun, really nailed the feel of playing as Spidey.

Batman Returns on the SNES is the Batman game I wish people had told me about when I was a kid. I remember being really annoyed that the Acclaim Batman Forever, the BATMAN game made by the Mortal Kombat people (I thought) was such an awful game. Batman Returns on the SNES though, was exactly my kind of jam though.

There were a ton of great Batman games in the 80's and 90's, and some absolutely abysmal ones too, it's a grab bag. Batman on the NES, Batman Returns on the SNES, and The Adventures of Batman & Robin on the Genesis are my favorites.

@@MadPanicGaming Off topic question, but I just remembered: Next time you do a ○○off or Surugaya video, would it be possible to show off how exactly they organize stock? Organizing by genre makes sense, but is it as simple as あ、い、う、え、お、か、き、く。。。or is there more too it than that? I mostly got the hang of it in the game section, but manga, CD's, and DVDs kind of threw me off when I visited Japan

So, had each of these in my ROMs folder, except for the Batman one, but saying it was Japanese only, luckily I knew just the website to get the ROM from, so quick download, and got that now, easy fix. As for the question, well, does anime heroes count? If so, probably would have to go with one of the Sailor Moon games, but not sure which one as I do like each of them.
