Excellent vlog showing the actual issues with owning this tractor. Individually, might seem trivial, but taken together, not good. Most seem just poor engineering or Deere trying to cheap out. But those loose bolts should be Deere's responsibility and should be recalled! Thanks for the cons/pros. Appreciate your honesty, fairness, and time to make this video.

I have a 2017 2032R. My front end has fallen out twice. Dealer is 2 blocks away and put it back together both times. Bolts fell out while plowing snow first time. Tiller 2nd time. Broke key off 4 times now. Keep an extra in glove box and 2 in my truck. Glad to here the telescopic arms work. My rear mount snow blower and my treancher are a real bear to hook up. Great review. With all it's issues, I believe the pros out way the cons and I would buy it again.

I think Deere did just fine providing some harness provisions for lighting. The target customer (large land owners) always says he needs to work his machine at night. In actuality, they almost never do; it's a tough call. As a retired tractor engineer, it was WAY more beneficial to put money towards solving warranty issues, then everybody wins. You can never put in a big enough battery, sealed connectors, etc., to make sure the features you DO offer work the way they are intended well past design life.

The key placement resonated with me the most, yeah on the 2, 3, 4, & 5 series the key is in the middle just inches from the floor - long reach down there, always bending over reaching for them 😕 The top link hanger isn't a big issue for most people, anyone changing implements as often as you needs a quick hitch. That hanger can only have the top link snap into it X many times before it fits too loose and you've exceeded that thus why it doesn't secure the link.

Thanks for watching and for the comment. I eventually did get a quick hitch. Wish I would of done it sooner.

A Guy With A Tractor Thanks for the honest review. You are the only person I have seen so far that has done such a review. I would like to ask you if you could put a link to your friend's channel that has had all the trouble with his 3046R? I would like to know what his troubles have been with it as I am considering purchasing one. Thanks.

My 1970s International 444 went out and looking at tractors now. Deere, Kubota, Kioti and Mahindra is what's close to me. So making some research now for something to use on my 4 acres.

It appears you have a series of documented imperfections with this tractor; a total of 10 "cons"? What immediately comes to mind is did you, in fact, buy a 🍋? If so, what is the "Lemon 🍋Law" in you're state? Secondly, are you familiar with either of the following 2 companies; Quick Attach & Good Works Tractors? I'm not technical, nor am I mechanically inclined. However, as I listened to both your pros & cons; I distinctly remembered watching Courtney, from GWT, reference a brush guard, steps, bucket hardware & led/brackets from companies he either represents or sells directly. If you aren't familiar with either of the 2 companies; you may well be happily surprised when you do. I truly enjoy watching Courtney on KZbin. He's a wealth of information, I've learned a great deal, in just over a month from watching him. He responds immediately; services any & all requests, large or small. My brother is giving the 2022 JD 2038R a serious consideration. When I saw the title of you're video; I thought it best to drop on by & have a listen, glad I did! In regard to you're personal list of cons; do you know how many of these problems, if any, have been addressed & eliminated this year? Secondly, I thought I read recently that there was a 47 HP model in the 2000 Series? When I look for it, what I can only find is a 37 HP model? So, I guess what I'm asking you is what, in the 2000 Series is the model with all the bells & whistles; that has the highest hp (47?). He's on 7 acres of land, 25 miles west of Boston. Application(s): Snow removal & 25' - 30' downed trees; about 20 if them. There will be about 15 cord of wood when he's all done. Attachments: Bucket, front snowblower, grapple, log splitter, cab. This will be his first & last 🚜; this is why he's willing to shoot the works, and get all of the attachments previously mentioned. Blockbuster 🥶 Blizzard taking place, here in Massachusetts, as I'm writing you this note. I'm going out on my "cabless" JD x595 to blow snow for a couple of hours; any information you could provide while blowing 🌨️ snow 🌨️ would be great! Weather like this, is why I'm soon going to buy the Kubota RTV x1100 c. I waited much longer than I should have for Deere to hopefully take the Gator to the next level; NOT! The Bobcat/Polaris 3400, with rusty floorboards, looks like something made by Mattel. Yeah, the 🐊 Gator 🐊 has a plow; but you have to be an 🐙 octopus 🦑 to run it. I've wanted a diesel 4 x 4, with a snowblower attachment; for a long time. Choices are very limited. Wasn't too difficult to eliminate both Bobcat & Deere. Did I mention Deere's 🐊 Gator 🐊 stand alone diesel model is $35,000.00 with NO ATTACHMENTS,,,,,,,😅 😂 🤣 🤔???

Good info. FYI Massey Ferguson has dual hydrostatic pedals ,which I like as well. I currently have a MF 1723e (first tractor I have owned). One day down the road think I will upgrade to a Deere 2032. I like my Massey a lot ,but their 25 Hp next step up tractor model not quite a big fan of.
@BBLandServices

If you're a big/tall guy get ready to tap the lever throttle CONSTANTLY. Love my 2038r but that's been killing me. Also I get to play "find the missing bolt" tomorrow. Found an orphan bolt on the tractor's path tonight. Matches the others but no clue where it goes...

Also wanted to say the slow hydraulics would be in my list too. Possibly the top of it. I'm not even used to tractors but they seem slow to me. With nothing to base it on I think that is worse, since my frame of reference is clean.

Are the telescoping lift arms compatible with the 3pt quick hitch? Deere's website says they are not compatible, but that obviously may not be true seeing as they said the same thing about the telescoping lift arms not working on the 2038.

I dont know if its true or not but remember reading somewhere that john deere still use the older bulbs for colder climates to keep snow melted off of the lenses. I changed all my bulbs out on my 2038r to Led.
@BBLandServices
@BBLandServices 3 жыл бұрын
That could be a reason because a lot use this for snow removal.
@mikeg.8159

THIS. I have purposely not replaced those admittedly weak front lights because I do move snow at my cabin in the winter, often on a Friday night after arrival. LEDs would fill up with snow almost immediately.
