I almost forgot what it's like to work for a company where everything revolves around having a successful career. But damn I’m so glad I chose a different path. Relationships with people should be based on kindness. It's fucking toxic to work in an environment where everyone's choices are based on (long term) self profit.

This is an excellent list. I highly agree with: #1 for getting promoted in corporate America, #2 for any negotiations you should never show your true intentions #3 not sure why people try to convince others they are wrong. People are stubborn and they get offended. However sometimes for your children and employees you need to stop them from taking the wrong path. #7 is absolutely true. Whether it is in business or even friends if you want someone to do something there must be an incentive. #15 Time management/critical is absolutely important to success. #16 Pay for success, which I believe alludes to paying to trainers, tutors, education and support staff to help you reach your goals. However I highly disagree with #6. Is the only alternative to not hiring friends/family is to hire enemies? Just hire the most qualified people with the best attitudes.

Psychological power comes from showing others you are independent and can get on without them yet still care for them. If you walk four miles everyday back and forth to work and someone offers you a ride say “no thank you I am fine walking thanks” they shows them you are not afraid of discomfort and will not just change your life for a simple minute ride. Psychological power comes from doing what others can’t and willingly. When people see you will do what everyone else would in a heartbeat to avoid a little effort they know you will give in to all the weaknesses of regular people. Step outside your comfort zone and people will take notice. Psychological power is not control it’s direct integrity and independent will. Think for yourself and do not do what is the common human nature.

@@jodisherland5335 I can really relate to what you’re saying. As a kid with ADHD and a form of autism, I experienced a lot of negative behavior towards me, even though I always tried to be nice. At some point I figured out that changing my behavior from what I considered normal, to what other people considered normal was beneficial to the way I got treated. This eventually made me a people’s pleaser. Sure, people sometimes recognize and appreciate my loyalty and friendliness. But sometimes I feel like the more I adapt, the less people adapt to me. The more I care for the other, the less the others tend to care for me. I already know I just need to stay more true to myself. But I’m at a point where I have no idea how to be myself, put myself first, without becoming the socially handicapped person I was as a kid. Guess awareness is step 1. This is probably something nobody can teach you. You’ll know when you know.

It's interesting I've just recently begun to understand or think of life as 9ne body and everything making up life as essential parts 9f that body and t9 see there is no differentiating between myself and another. To think that I could ever become their right hand and the kind of asshole I would then be, has been enough for me to choose a different path. No matter how "good" a job may seem to be. @@Viidarr13 this video is based on the book the 48 laws of power by robert greene. i dont reccomend reading it because if you follow its teachings you will become miserable always trying to gain psychological power over others. instead i reccomend the laws of human nature by robert greene. Same author but this book explains why people are the way they are, including yourself, (irrational, narcissistic, envy, etc.) and how to deal with the many variations of people in order for you to understand your own emotions as well as others.

I do the majority of these things mostly and I think it depends on the person at the time. If I don't know a person well or have a doubt even if it's a close one, I do these things, I hide my real intentions, act as I don't care, and don't speak too much and don't act like I know anything. After that they stop being too careful with their actions and stop seeing you as a threat. So your work becomes easier and they start to show their real face. They put the fake shame aside and their inside shows up on the outside.

- Stand out and get recognized, hard work alone won't guarantee power and success. - Hide your intentions to keep power in an exchange. - Actions speak louder than arguments, use behavior to win people over. - Speak less to increase the power of your words. - Cultivate confidence, it's an important part of psychological power. - Hire enemies for clear-headed objectivity. - People are selfish, appeal to their self-interest when asking for a favor. - Avoid commitment to stay open to multiple perspectives. - Mind your reputation, it's the sum of people's perceptions of you. - Practice charisma, it's a valuable tool to have in social situations.

Can’t say I agree with all of these. 1. Talking about a hard task that you completed as easy or not a big deal can appear boastful and set others against you 2. Hiring your enemies. If you are referring to people you just don’t like then you’ll feel powerful by having power over them as their boss (sociopathic). However, if you’re hiring people that are against you, you’re giving them opportunity to sabotage your business & reputation. 3. Lastly, paying for a “name” or “title” is incredibly too ambiguous to know what they meant in certainty. I assume it is referring to a brand name in which case I wouldn’t support as it shows people your intentions of wanting to look superior. Instead I would wear nice clothes that lack a logo and show my money in things that count to show the opposite of your true intentions and have people believe you have money but don’t need to brag. which is, in my opinion, much more superior

Most importantly: think and process information yourself, don't just eat it up. The thing about not commiting here is i think problematic in some ways. Sure, you want to be flexible in different situations and not have tunnel vision sometimes, but commiting to things is absolutely essential at certain points in life. Real growth comes from friction and from struggle and if you never commit to anything and instead just dangle around all day every day you will be sort of liked by everyone but loved by no one and you won't really have a healthy self image i think.

You don't HAVE to be money rich to have psychological power boiz! Money is necessary and all but you also gotta be wisdom rich! Prime example of psychological power is Jesus Christ. Full of gratitude, kindness, selflessness, relentless dedication to the common good, honest, and full of divine wisdom. What every man should be! The man was ridiculed all of his life by "high priests" and people believed in Jesus because his actions spoke louder than their deadening words. God bless you all! Have a blessed Sunday!

On the other hand, some go against what I believe the most important of all, to be trusted, relied upon and respected... Altruism is compassion, selflessness and helping others without wanting anything in return. Altruism is the principle and moral practice of concern for happiness of other human beings, resulting in a quality of life both material and spiritual. Altruism often includes generosity, self-sacrifice, helping people in need and voluntarily giving in to someone else's will in conflict with one's own. Altruism includes both the psychological will to these actions, the conscience and the behavior that comes from the will. It is about emotional compassion and the psychological understanding of the needs of others. Empathic ability is closely linked to altruistic behaviors ❤️

You never hide your intentions you keep yourself mindful of staying in tune with your own will. If you tell a car dealer that you like a car and you know your only willing to spend so much when he says a higher price say “sorry that’s to expensive” and be firm in your will. We are not controlled by anyone and if someone makes us buy a car we don’t have the money for it’s not because we where swindled it’s because we let ourselves be taken advantage of. You are responsible for what you want and if you pay more you do so willingly because you can afford it and it’s worth it to you. Some may buy a car at 7,000$ and be happy while another buys it at 9,000 and is happier because he can afford it and it means more to him because of a past experience they wish to relive.
