I see this all the time, the loud manager/executive demands work faster, take unnecessary risk, yells a lot, reduces staff resources to save money then takes credit for getting the major task done. If the decisions of the manager/executive causes unacceptable consequences, the workers are blamed

True story I once worked at a place where the other guy go over me cause he was passing around balloons of heroin , then a coworker over dosed and died and they covered it all up, and because I" just said no" I was constantly harassed. I have theories about those who seek power for power's sake. They are usually vapid, soulless entities preying on societies' more noble ideals. If anything, understanding and identifying these empty individuals helps one become stronger in the inevitable confrontations that will ensue. True power comes from within, as it always has. Relying on the subjugation of others through external devices or circumstances just has people questioning your motives. People gravitate to those who possess inner strength. Most of these rules are truly cynical in practice and theory and anyone with a conscience should be apprehensive of anyone using them...

From what I've read and thought about myself, there's nothing wrong with falling back if it's a better move if you win in the long run. Make yourself able to destroy but avoid it for realistically your own/loved ones sake. Unless it's the other way around which is why it's needed. These set of power games is something we’re all implementing in some way or another. Consciously or unconsciously. The narcissist, the psychopath are experts on employing these techniques. Hence, Henry Kissinger was used as a prime example. The evil ways on how this world operates requires us to understand and learn the rules. The trick is not to lose ourselves in the process. This obviously isn’t for everyone. Most of us just don’t want to play into this exhausting bullcrap just to be able to afford a nice lifestyle. Some of these laws are downright traitorous and people may remember and avenge. this is only power over. that is not a very good power to strive for. the one you want to wield is the power to..... power to open doors to make something happen for another to make positive change when you help those around you as well as yourself, everyone benefits. there is no need to be sneaky or plan revenge. it feels so much better. you won't become a withered husk of what used to be human with no one to enjoy success with because no one trusts the person who threw them under the bus to swoop in on their promotion.

I think he wrote this because he wasn't powerful, I think he learnt this by powerful people who took advantage of his authenticity. Being authentic is more powerful than anything. U remain u. People respect authentic people. But also take advantage of them... which leads to pain. Pain is your best teacher. So he isn't a powerful man, yet he is a very good teacher.

Yet he will be more respected by his people than a powerful person will be. I bet the closest people to the powerful person are full of resentment for them. Fake respect. So they will attract to them people who want power. Their power. If u practice this book, u be very unhappy. lol, u can't trust friends, and u have to keep enemies close so u can use them.. that is like when two chemicals touch, they both are changed The most powerful person, let's go off power. U can't beat someone who is authentic and intelligent
