just finished playing Rise of the Tomb Raider. What a fantastic game I had missed. The exploration is massive, the game design is to the point, the side-quests (wicked vale for instance) are totally worth. Tons to discover, the upgrade system is simple but effective and the main story is great. I'd recommend this to anyone. I feel the game is definitely still relevant

Only bad side of the game imo are AI bugs. 1 bug i had when i goes faster than 1 npc which i released from arrest, he stopped and didnt go to next script where he is supposed to drink water and after backstab me, i had to load last save and just go few meters behind him to fix it. Other bug i had, in dlc mission where i had to launch the boat, even tho i had alingment with Lizzy's gang, 1 of the npcs was attacking me and when he does it, than everyone attacked me even Lizzy. I had to use my super powers to avoid this 1 gang member and launch the boat xD

@@duhsasjekirom555 yes, you can basically play however you want. Theres abilities and perks that help it so you can stealth, or run and gun your way through any mission and both are fun. How? I'm into such games and Sleeping Dogs is my worst disappointment in gaming history. I was so thrilled to play it, did 3 attempts to try it, at total 24 hours into the game and it felt like a mediocre GTA clone at times and an atrocious cringy game at worst. I just see this game repeatedly mentioned in such compilations and if not, there is always a comment praising it, with nobody saying otherwise. It is the single game I cannot wrap my head around in terms of its fame around players. I don't want to upset anybody with my opinion, I just want to understand how this game is a gem for so many. All the community around gaming industry feels relatable to me, I can see what works for some players even if game objectively has room for improvement in important areas. But this one being what it is and being considered as one of the great games feels like a glitch in matrix to me. I just don't get it.

@@code_sculptor There's a lot to like about Sleeping Dogs in my opinion. Firstly, I thoroughly enjoyed the undercover cop plot - I find Wei Shen to be a very likeable protagonist, especially thanks to Will Yun Lee's voice acting, and the constant tension in balancing the two sides of the law has helped keep the game engaging for me. The hand-to-hand combat system was fun, the environmental takedown animations made it a gratifying power fantasy. This was just a year ago and I am on some top end hardware.... There are plenty of other single player games with legendary status that you should be here: - Bungie's Halo - Mass Effect trilogy - Dragon Age Origins - GTA franchise - Red Dead series - Star Wars KOTOR 1 and 2 - Deus Ex - Half-Life series - Portal series - Splinter Cell Chaos Theory - Diablo 2 - most Resident Evil games - Persona series, at least from 3 onwards. - Final Fantasy franchise - Devil May Cry 1, 3, 4, 5 - Doom franchise Also RTS games, which are mostly looked at as multiplayer experiences, but I actually just like them for their campaigns and vs bots: Warcraft 3, Starcraft 1 and 2, the Command & Conquer franchise, Company of Heroes 1 and 2.

Reading this comment made me understand that I don't need to buy new games like a crazy person anymore because I have all of them on your list.
@radicalcentrist49902 ай бұрын
@@danzka_ I don't really need to either. These are games that I personally don't get tired of, I can just replay them for the rest of my life. These and some of the ones from the video + plenty more that I didn't mention. There's like 100 games that I kept going back to over the years, so yeah, do I really need new ones?

The fact that Ryse: son of Rome is not here makes me sad. Graphics beyond its time, very good gameplay, set during Roman times. Love that game. But great list, nonetheless.

I played almost all of them - not the Uncharted ones - and I love them all. Nice list and your description of these games is really good. I might stick around for more, so a new sub you have.

I've got every single one of these games, physically too with there collector editions, the kids aren't allowed in my Collectors Museum Room tho, but it is there favourite room I've got 30 years of great memories in that room and I met my mrs while having a games weekend with Uncharted 1 all those years ago, tho times a rare commodity now but we do try for a gamer's weekend once a month, our favourite game ever tho is Legacy of Kain, were both insanely excited for Remastered versions on current consoles but would love to get it for both our Nintendo Switches, but we've got no idea what consoles it will be released on, but still very excited about it none the less, thanks for the trip down memory lane this was a great vid you've put together

Well done! I agree with every single one of these choices. Of course there are others but there are so many and you've got a lot of them covered. I wouldn't agree about classics being in the past though. Every era has its classics, but we do tend to forget the multitude of mediocre games from every era that make them shine.... 🙂 A recent example is the flawed but magnificent Cyberpunk 2077. This is already a classic worthy of this list IMHO.

Thanks, my friend. It’s true, some games are so good that they’re considered classics even before they age.

One of the games I am just replaying is Control. Only legendary games are worth to me to be played at least twice.

Today all the new games at least 90% heave lost and don't heave the classics's magic and i can hardly find 1 new game every 1/2 years worth playing in my eyes. But this days everyone's buying any game that released even if its worth or not the price with its quality so if everyone is buying even garbage they will continue to make close to 0 quality games since the money still comes in. As long as people continue to buy every game they see no matter the quality, unique and great games will not be made anymore or on very rare occasions. Some games on the list i played while others are not for me but good game.

There are some far greater games than Batman and Max Payne that belong here... such as the Mass Effect trilogy, GTA-V, RDR-2, Dragon Age, Dishonored, Deus Ex and Prey. Not just Rise of the Tomb Raider, the whole reboot trilogy is worthy, and Metro 2033 was great, but so was Metro Last Light. Other must-play games include Dying Light, Dead Space, Alien: Isolation, Mad Max, Oblivion, Fallout 3, Dragon's Dogma and Lost Odyssey. Oh, and Borderlands 2.
