@@finlandmappinganthems4097 in Byzantine empire there was orthodox music only in the greek language. Kyrilos and Methodius made an alphabet and translated every thing in orthodox music to Russia and other countries

@@Mplaropo well, actually, it was before great schysm, so orthodoxy wasn't a thing yet, and they translated it to "old slavic language"(idk how to call it in english), cuz they went as missionaires to Great moravia, and they wanted people to understand them. But i see what you mean. Long live Orthodoxy.
