You should’ve just came back to ask after 15 minutes. Turns out the lady I was supposed to see just up and left and nobody knew 🤦🏾‍♀️

Gosh the INFP is dead on. As a kid I was hospitalized with a pain in my side and waited for 14 hours to be seen. After everything I was so tired of waiting that I tried to convince my mother and the freaking doctors to let me go. Fortunately, my uncle showed up (he isn't an INFP and works in the medical field) and gave the doctors a tongue lashing and made them run more test. Turns out I had appendicitis and he saved my life.

As an INTP I must agree. I really don't talk to anyone, as for that I don't have many friends personally. But if not talking to anyone isn't an option let's just say in class or work, you have to be coherent because If you act stupid or obnoxious, or stuck up or anything related I will avoid you. Other than that I can get along with just anyone if I have to. I consider my personality to be the least problematic.

Doctors scare me. Like, what if they're actually terrible at their job? They always give out an "I was told exactly what to say and what to do and I half-listened" vibe to me. Also, no way I can fact check if what they're doing is correct, because we all know how untrustworthy google is when it comes to medical searches.

I just got diagnosed after having a pain in the same spot for 9 years. I never bothered to tell a doctor about it before because I just self-diagnosed myself with a life threatening condition and assumed I would just die in my sleep one day and there's nothing a doctor could do about it. True story: My dad, an ISFJ, once fell on ice and broke his hip while doing errands. He got up, and instead of driving himself to the hospital, he did two more errands before finally going to the ER, where he was immediately sent into surgery. He continued to work from his laptop while stuck in the hospital bed for a week.

My dad is an extraverted type, but he did something similar xD. He built a fence on a steep slope and did it without security cause he "just wanted to finish it real quick". Anyway, he fell down 5 m and the vibrator (or whatever you call it - a huge machine you use to stomp in stones and other heavy shit) he worked with crashed down on him. He somehow climbed out of the slope - which is already hard without injuries - saying "Nothing happened, I'm okay, everything's fine" and wanted to continue working (with a visibly broken nose, boys ruining down his face etc). One of his friends who came to help just looked at him, shook his head and more or less forced him to go to the hospital. Turns out he broke his collarbone, nose and something else (along with having tons of bruises)

INFP HD my pet PEEVE growing up was people staring a conversation while I was in the middle of talking about something, especially my family. I finally blew one day and you know what they did? Started laughing. Maybe that’s why I’m hesitant to speak in a group to this day.
@INFPHD
@INFPHD 5 жыл бұрын
Wendy - no no I TOTALLY get you on this one! Still happens to me to this day and something that is also a HUGE irritation!! I feel that we are generally soft / minimal talkers (unless it’s something we are super passionate about) so people disregard that over the other people who are a bit “louder”. Like when I actually talk up (especially in the middle of a group of people / meeting etc.) it’s something I have usually spent a lot of time on “behind the scenes” thinking of all the outcomes, possibilities, etc etc. So when that “one time” I speak up and it gets dismissed I get *enter explicit phrase here. I think it’s just really important to find those people who are similar minded and try to surround yourself with them as much as possible - they are out there!! Sean
@wendyraye
@wendyraye 5 жыл бұрын
INFP HD holy cow - you just described me down to “behind the scenes” and being passionate, whether it’s the principle of something or knowing what I’m talking about but being overlooked. For an example, someone was cheating on their hours at work (I don’t monitor people’s times, but it was BAD - working 4-5 hours but claiming 9, getting rewarded with every other Monday off - it was affecting EVERYONE ELSE who had to pick up the slack). The whole team knew but didn’t have the guts to say anything (stuck their heads in the sand - as Nick Cage would say “Not cool!!”). Finally, my blood pressure was so high I couldn’t see straight so I went into the (scary) Director’s office and unloaded (I had always avoided him at ALL costs). My drive to say something overpowered my shyness. Another time I was in a team huddle and people were hollering out ideas to trouble shoot an instrument (having issues for a couple days). After everyone had said their ideas I spoke up and said “Have you checked for a leak? I’ve seen this exact issue several times before.” I swear everyone looked at me like “oh sure, that’s not it” - I went to the instrument, opened the compartment and BINGO, there was a leak. Even when I told one of the guys that’s what it was, he said “NO WAY!!!” I have a lot of experience trouble shooting, but I sometimes feel like they don’t take me seriously because I’m quiet. It’s really annoying!!

@@not_fei98 Thank you! And don't get yourself too badly injured! 4th year medical school drop out here! Didn't see the point of trying to postpone the inevitable and make a small fortune out of it. Just seemed a tad unscrupulous. But plenty of people seem ok with it, so I won't complain to loudly. Dropped out of Civil Engineering school in the middle of the second semester, too, after I realised I had to put my name onto buildings that would eventually fall into pieces no matter what I did. I feel sorry for my dad. It's hard for a commercially minded and success and status orientated father to put up with a son like me. Spent some time studying Italian and German for a year, and found out they kinda wanted to come over to New Zealand, where I've already got citizenship, and found out Italy had about a 50% youth unemployment rate in spite of being the country with all the luxury brands from Ferrari to Nutella to Gucci to who knows what else. So I kind of decided that's not necessarily the best place to go to. And Germany... Was kind of in the middle of the EU crisis with Brexit and clashes with Trump and Syrian refugees and African refugees and a rising far right and all that sort of nonsense. So... Not so great. Studied Ancient Greek History and European Film Studies to see if somebody else knew what life was all about. Turns out, Socrates got famous mainly because he didn't know what on earth was going on, Plato got famous because he tried to design a world where people wouldn't go around getting people like Socrates killed, and his utopia ended up being a horrifying stratified society where you have the privileged intelligentsia at the top, some semi-privileged people in the middle, and the poor sods of everyone else at the bottom, deliberately kept illiterate. I also found out that Pericles pretty much single handedly started the Peloponnesian war, and died of the plague from it, and he was pretty much Athens's best and most noble leader, so.... Yeah, not great. And that Aristotle was a Macedonian metic, who taught Alexander the Great, only to have Alexander III kill off his nephew after his nephew got all critical of Alexander's regime. So Aristotle started to get all critical of Alexander. So much for the perfect banner pass from Socrates to Plato to Aristotle to Alexander the Great. And apparently Aristotle rubbished a lot of Plato's ideas too, and Plato put words into Socrates' mouth, so not much academic integrity on Plato's part, and not much gratitude on Aristotle's part. And Herodotus was a transitional period between the Homeric mythic poetry style to the dry, academic Thucydides style. And Thucydides rubbished both Homer and Herodotus. It was Thucydides who called Herodotus 'the father of lies'. And pretty much every single European Film I watched was pretty sad. Apart from the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly, which was an Italian director's jaded social commentary on how the American 'liberators' were not the heros they expected, but regular human beings with regular human problems. So basically, he's saying that there's no such thing as a genuine 'good guy'. And he identifies as the Mexican guy, and so does the Italian youths. Oh, and Europa Europa blew my mind. It was the story of a Jew in World War II who successfully masqueraded as a Communist, as a Nazi, even as an SS Hitler's Youth, and somehow managed to survive it all, get away with it, and live to tell the tale. Oh, and he was in a class where the Hitler's Youth were taught how to identify a Jew and he was summoned to the front of the class, a genuine Jew, and the German professor, after doing a million measurements, announces confidently that he's neither a Jew, nor a German, but from the Baltic States somewhere! For all that professor's so called 'knowledge', he couldn't spot a Jew when he was standing right in front of him! What a load of baloney! Now I'm studying for a bachelor of medical laboratory science, specialising in Transfusion Science and Immunology. These are subjects I can actually believe in, to some extent! No more acting like everything is fine when it's not. Now I can just do my job, get paid, and go home. I'm happy!

@@aritrisamadder8506 I've become increasingly frustrated with modern western doctors the more I see what they have to offer. They're great at life saving emergency stuff. They're TERRIBLE at preventative and maintenance care/advice. They hardly touch on diet, don't ask about life circumstances in relation to symptoms, and treat you like a car. I'm glad they exist and that we have access to advanced procedures and medication should the need arise. If I just show up saying I feel unhealthy "in general" and list a bunch of symptoms I'd like to see improvement with, they just look at me confused. It's like they wait for something to break to fix it. "Oh you've had pain here for a long time but it's not that bad? It's fine. Nothing to worry about. Come see me when it's throbbing out of control." "Oh you have some growth or lump? Hmmm. It's not very big, come back to see me if it gets bigger." etc, etc. It's a business model that relies on people being sick or injured.

@@aritrisamadder8506 A more holistic and personalized approach is definitely preferable for routine care and treating the sources of systemic issues. I don't know much about homeopathy in general. I've only heard that something "homeopathic" is when you dilute it to the point where there's hardly anything left of a particular compound or molecule. I don't know how I feel about that particular practice, but, a holistic approach, one that looks for route causes and realizes that our body is connected and that a problem in the skin could mean a problem with a different organ system, should be more common. I've had the same experience for years with skin problems and dermatologists. It's antibiotics (they make me sick) or accutane (I know people who had severe reactions to accutane)...that's all that's offered. They'll give you medicated face creams but even they admit they won't do much. No questions about diet, lifestyle, etc. I went from bad acne as a teenager, to totally clear skin for years, then back to worse acne and rosacea than when I was a teen. No answer. Super frustrating. I've tried every diet and product typically recommended and spent plenty of money to combat it. It seems to clear and come back randomly. Hasn't been fully clear for years though. It's like it's permanently red and inflamed.

"Pain is merely a neurotransmission from the dorsal horn of the spinal cord and the brain stems and the various regions of the brain as sensory information" Well ok, but you can't stop the neurotransmission by just talking, you need an analgesic to stop feeling it and specific drugs to heal the area causing the 'pain'. So unless you have a built in blocking metabolism to block your sensory pathways(which you can't) you should just shut up and admit you're just afraid of that massive syringe. -INTP But what do I know. I haven't left my home in the last 6 years.
@NightshadeXMLBB
@NightshadeXMLBB 5 жыл бұрын
Uh... well.. ISTP here. And of course, since pain is related to brain, blocking mechanism is also related to it. You just gotta find the secretion of the right hormone at that time. Having an adrenaline rush will instantly block that pain away so give yourself something of that sort. Play a really cool guitar solo/bass groove, pick a fight, ride a roller-coaster or just... run.. even that helps. Just don't be stupid and ignore if its really serious. And I hardly doubt pain would be the reason an ISTP would visit the doctor, unless its too serious like appendix or gall stone or of that sort.

iarujoi There is also Very high incidence of deppression however lately it has been discovered that deppression can have inflammatory origin so high dose omega 3 so here Sweden My pain specialist has suggested 3000-4000mg omega 3 a day plus 8000-10 000 mg d3 a day plus magnesium 500 mg/ day to prevent and treat issues with deppression and anxiety ( double check with your DR so its not contraindicated and safe for you specifically) but basically his take is that most people in todays society are lacking in these not only people with asd but people with asd ARE more likely to get/have deppression, sad, pmdd etc so are even more likely to be helped by bolstering the body with these together with other medication or by itself as the DR sees as appropriate or at least not contraindicated and doing so early on in treatment can actually make other medication more efficient. Brought this up since its so bloody common. One way it shows up more in asd people is in a sort of apathy, things feel gray, hard to get things Done in that case its likly that dopamine is effected ie medications normally used for asd in that case voxra wellbutrin( NO Change) and buspiron which is also subscribed for anxiety. If that is the case you can take one or both but be vary of dosing so for someone with asd lowest dose 150 mg wellbutrin in the morning and/ or buspiron morning and lunch / afternoonish 5mg twice a day might actually be enough again consult with DR but know that We can be a lot more sensitive to dosing and because of immune system things dont necessarily react the same way as everybody else does for example We can have a problem showing pain and emotional distress in a way DRs understand so you need to tell them that im on the spectrum and I /you have a severe problem showing pain and especially need you as a DR to examine first and press , let up and then ask a question, and continue after answer this might not be your needs but those are common needs so try to figure out how you need a DR to act to be able to get the most info from you or friends, family on the asd spectrum . Ps all this info is available on the internet but in a lot of seperate articles but you should be able to recreate it to confirm. Ncbi has a lot of relevant research material.

@@RoSinDA33 it's hard because we have a genuine love for people. But the trade off is not healthy for us. When I came to the realization that people don't really want help it made it easier for me to back off. From my experience people just want to dump. They never take the advice I give. They just continue to tell their problems. They do nothing different to get a different outcome. It's just pure insanity
