I feel the same a woman. I'm afraid if I cut my hair I'll be viewed as masculine and dudes will try to fight me for no reason. Especially as a black woman. 😭 I'm so sick of my afro though. I want to shave my head and wear wigs.
@terenarosa47904 жыл бұрын
@D&HProductions here many men are very rude. A guy who was walking very fast on his phone pushed me and really hurt my shoulder. Another pushed and kicked me in the shin when they were playing soccer. Another kicked a ball at my head and knocked me out and everyone just left me there asleep. (I wasn't playing sports with them btw). Another threw an apple at my back and another threw a rock at my head, but the rock missed by less than a centimeter. What does being black have to do with it? Well, most black women are perceived as masculine. We're considered the opposite of mainstream beauty and no one views us as needing to be protected compared to my white counterparts. Oh, and another shot me with a BB gun every day. The most painful shit. Three of them, including the BB gun guy, liked to show their strength over me by pinning me down on the ground and not letting me go. It's extremely claustrophobic and torturous. Many of my "attackers" I guess you can say, even though I don't want to see myself as a victim, have repeatedly screamed the n-word at me and also referred to me as it. Oh, also another threw chairs at me and laughed while keeping me trapped in a hallway, but that time I stood up for myself and I was so fucking awesome. I naruto ran up to them dodging what they threw at me, jumped in the air, scratched them across the face and drew a lot of blood. They screamed horrified and yelled they were going to kill me, but luckily my cousin showed up and tackled them. That's the only time I've ever defended myself though because I knew my cousin was nearby. Good men are very rare these days. I'm lucky to have found a few. I haven't even counted a lot verbal and sexual abuse or minor attacks such as contaminating my food, cuts (that drew blood and left scars) , destroying my property, terrorising me (chasing me with a knife and putting kittens the oven) and etc. Overall, I haven't had much good experience. Growing up I have found that when I'm wearing a wig, dress and makeup I'm treated much better by men and they don't mess with me. They just compliment me and go on with their day. I'm afraid things will get worse if I shave my head. That's why I'm afraid to shave my head.

Maintenance is the number 1 reason for sure. All you really need is conditioner since you don't need to always shampoo every time you shower as that dries up the hair. When I had short hair, I would get a haircut almost every week up to every other week, and I had a 0-1 fade (super short). It was a waste of money. I've grown it for four years now and let me tell you, the last girl told me I look like a hot Jesus right before she throated me. lmao. Needless to say, she received a blessing that night as she needed forgiveness for her sins. I have a handful of sinners that need a blessing every now and then, I'm definitely loving this hair.

I feel like I've been in this awkward stage for a long time now. I can't cut the length without compromising the shape and look of the general style but I can't do anything with underneath length until it's long enough to cut into one length. Its not so bad as we in lockdown and I've worn a beanie hat when going out. It's long enough to tie up but I messed myself up when I one day couple of no the ago cut my fringe whilst wet from chin length to my eyebrow length. I don't know what I was thinking, whilst it was wet it looked fine but when it dried it bounced back up and looked like a type of Mullet. It's only just grown out past my lips🤣😆

But I have very fine blonde hair (it's starting to gray now). Anyway, my hair breaks easily when I tie it up, and it leaves all these fine stringy bits that won't go into a ponytail, and they look terribly scruffy. Here's my reason. It's more like a rant. But when I was younger my dad would always make me get a haircut like his. The haircut was called the bald fade. And I tell you right now I f****** hate that hairstyle. Absolutely hated it. I never felt attractive and getting that hairstyle made me feel even worse. I couldn't wait till I got on my own and I started growing my own hair out. My dad is trying to copy me in some way. Ironic. He used to always say that I look human when my hair got cut. I'm thinking that doesn't make me feel better. It actually makes me feel worse because you're trying to make me look like your ass. But now I'm growing my hair out and it's down to my shoulders. I wish it was longer of course but I'm taking good care of it and I can't stand barbers. I never could. I'm never cutting my hair again.

I have been watching your videos since you had short hair and I'm loving the long hair on ya. Looks fantastic! one thing I want to say, I am in the growing process and just hit month 3. Im growing it out just to see how my hair will look honestly cause I haven't don't it ever and will keep growing it till I I'm able to tie my hair up. However, my only fear is not being able to pass the awkward phase since I have a job.not to mention, my job does allow us to have long hair but I'm just self concious about it and how it will look like 5 months from now :( I also started wearing hats to cover my messy hair lol. My question to you is should i exchange hats for beanies because I heard hats can damage hair, slow hair growth and stop blood flow circulation from reaching the scalp which is apparently bad for the hair. Do you think beanies are better? also I started hearing people's comments and a lot of them are telling me to cut it. I tend to not listen to them because this is what I want to do.

As long as you don't have your cap super tight it's probably ok. Make sure it's loose but fit enough to stay on your head and from the wind.

Hey man, love your vids! But I want to talk about a thing you mentioned in the video. Short hair isn't a new thing actually. Yes, long hair was wayyyyyy before short hair. But men have had short hair since the huge Roman empire.

I think he means it's a new thing or recent trend in comparison with the entirety of history in general... Because history goes soooo far back it is quite recent.

How to get rid of frizz & dryness from my hair & what should I do coz I heard humidity creates frizzy but in my country Dhaka Bangladesh ,there is a lot of humidity ... So I can't even go more then 2 days without washing my hair & by washing means shampooing .... Coz after 2 days the 3rd day it starts itching my scalp so I have to wash & shampoo every 2 days ... So what u suggest ?

Tbh, I think the reason most men don’t grow out their hair is because 80% of us are balding😭

Do u just not get any haircuts? Or do u go to cut side burns or bottom of the back?
@soysaucehairdye78694 жыл бұрын
you should get split ends cut once every 6 to 8 weeks. It makes a huge difference on how good your hair will feel. I always shave the back of my head on the corners where the hair is kind of baby hairish on both the bottom right and bottom left.

Throughout your videos you keep mentioning that long hair looks at its best when you put into a bun and that's why it's easy to maintain. In my personal opinion if a man grows out his hair only to get to the manbun phase , then he shouldn't grow it out at all. Are you aware of the health risks of always putting your hair into a bun and is the main style you recommend for men. I'd love to get your opinion on that. Love your hair videos.

A men's approach to having long hair is sooo easy! Basically just let it grow, put it in a man bun if it bothers you, and yall look cool. We women have.... a LOT of trouble with long hair, spend more money and time than necessary taking care of it... But damn you're right, guys with long hair... huh! *Unless it's like an obese, desk job, suit wearing old man, can you imagine??* 😅😅

Short hair for men became popular by Julius caesar i believe...because for a soldier to fight with long hair gave there enemies an opportunity to grab there hair and pull on it to well cause pain...so Julius said short hair...can't grab my hair now u don't have an advantage
