I love that you guys just give us the info/combo/technique. No long winded break down of "the basics" that we've heard 10,000 times. We're not all beginners, I don't need to go over my stance first, I just want to see some pad combos. Good work.

I love the emphasis on footwork and angles with the Soviet & Cuban styles, so much more realistic than throwing 5 punch combos standing mostly in the same spot.

Those prolonged combos are easily misunderstood by the people newer to this style. Those 4 combo or longer pad combos aren't a hit-to-target combo. They're a reactive drill with a moving target that moves in a straight line towards you or away from you. Not all are intended to or will land. They're more of a shadowboxing theme in theme with the "chelnock". Happy to share that with the eager fans of eastern style boxing. Great upload!

A little bit of torso rotation is sufficient to make your long shots go Rounder... There is no need to detach your arms too much from your body to make them go back to target in a rounder motion. Just hip and torso rotation, punching with waiste-like... The other thing is gaging the distance, he is such a longiligne boxer, amazing advantage for soviet style. He gets close too much, especially for hooks and uppercuts... Making it look more arm-punch like. Just dip squat a bit, throw it from aback when popping upward and it'll travel to target looping-like... Cheers....

Can’t say this definitively until he fights Beterbiev. Not trying to cause an argument because they’re both possibly my two favorite fighters, I just think we can’t state it either way yet. Beterbiev is getting up there in age, so this needs to happen. I personally believe Artur does knock him out, but I could certainly see Bivol winning. He truly is a masterful boxer. Beterbiev, however, is terribly underrated in regard to his actual boxing skills, ring IQ, and ring generalship. He will not let Bivol dip in and out all night without cutting him off and forcing some exchanges. And I believe Beterbiev will put on Bivol a power and ferocity he has never faced during those exchanges. I’ve been waiting for this fight for so long. It has to happen in 2024.
@blaisehanon Жыл бұрын
@@kyleconnor2759 i disagree totally with you but that's life,i think bivol schools beterbiev all night,i recognize beterbiev boxing skill, he has high ring IQ,good movements,cuts the ring perfectly but he's way too slow for bivol,slow feet is deadly vs bivol,bivol is incredibly fast ,in and out and beterbiev being slow feet,won't be able to do anything vs that..But,like you,i'd love to see it next year..

continious in-out movement footwork (pendulum), enphasis on long range punches (eg hooks and uppercuts have rather a distance based approach), the ability to hit while going backwards, very bladed stance, a lot of emphasis on the lead hand (eg lot of jabs, lead hooks). in addition the check hook is performed by moving the lead foot instead of the back foot
