nah, she's still trying to be something I dont think she is. i get that she's gay now, but she thinks being gay means abandoning hair, make up and clothing. its why people were questioning whether or not she's actually a lesbian. its like she came out of the closet and then googled "stereotypical lesbian stuff" and the new Ingrid was born. it's why I unsubbed. i check back in with her vids every now and then to see if she actually wants to show us some different make up looks or has a clothing haul that doesnt include flannels or birkenstocks.
@alaina99977 жыл бұрын
I really, really hope you're kidding. First "I get that she's gay now"? She's always been gay. The difference is now she's not in the closet. You (nor anyone in this comment thread, including myself) don't know her at all, nor know why she is now acting and dressing a different way. As a person who was in the closet a long time, a lot of the times when you're in the closet you act a certain way because you don't want to out yourself. For Ingrid, that was acting super, super, super, super girly-feminine. Now that she's out she can be more of herself because she's being honest with herself and others. Secondly, anyone who was questioning if she was "really a lesbian" is literally just an asshole and there's nothing else about that. If you really unsubscribed because she's wearing flannels and birkenstocks and acting like her true self, and you think that you have the authority to say she's "not acting like herself", than you got some stuff you need to work through.

Tip from a podiatrist: Ideally you avoid corn removal treatments that include an acid in them because it often affects the surrounding skin and can lead to skin breakage. This is most important in diabetic patients. Corns on the 5th toes are often due to tight footwear so it helps to find more wide-fitting ones, especially ones you use daily :) Also you can apply specific emollients on them to keep the skin soft and they become much less painful. But ultimately to remove them it's best to go to a podiatrist! x

Your sleeping mask story reminds me of how I need a fan to sleep. I started using one to block out noise from my roommates. It definitely helped me sleep. However, I recently discovered that I even need it when I go home to visit my family to add extra noise to the room otherwise it's too quiet.

Sarah Olson my fiance uses a fan to sleep it helps drown out the noise. I like background noise of talking to help me sleep, so I watch Gilmore Girls, favorite movies or the saved KZbin videos on my iPod.i listen to it on the lowest volume possible. Ingrid, I thought I was like you when it comes to smelling asparagus pee, UNTIL I decided to eat about two bunches of it for dinner one night, because I love asparagus. That was by far the most asparagus I'd eaten in one sitting, and the next day, when I went pee, I was actually concerned I had a medical issue because it.....it reeked. It was so bad. (This is such a gross story I'm sorry). It took me a while of freaking out before I realized it was because of the asparagus, and this was the famed "asparagus pee" that I'd always heard about. Moral of the story is, if you really want to know what it smells like, eat two bunches.

I can kind of answer your Trefoil question! I am a lifetime member of the Girl Scouts (no joke you have the option of getting that if you have been in long enough its a pretty big membership fee once and you get a card and pin and certificate to frame) and started as a kid back in the 80s then worked for the Scouts until 2 years ago (but my fiancee still works there!) and we sold A LOT of Trefoils (also called Shortbreads by the other bakery) - they are generally the 4th or 5th most popular type depending on the region. (Thin Mints are the most popular and most sold, then Samoas (or Caramel Delites depending on which bakery your council uses), then the Tagalongs (or Peanut Butter Patties) then the Trefoils or Peanut Butter Sandwiches - so close in quantity they almost tie so that position goes back and forth a lot. Also fun fact for you - the Trefoils are the ORIGINAL recipe - the first cookies sold back when troops would bake thier own from the official Girl Scout recipe and were simply called "Girl Scout Cookies" - they werent commercialized and boxed until the late 40's/early 50's and the release dates werent standardized around the country until around 2005-2006 - previously each region had thier own set of months that rotated based on what each factory could handle but with girls being allowed to sell online (they have a specific site through GSUSA but you need an invite code to get in so you still have to know a girl) it was getting to easy to get them all year long. If you get Trefoils then you have Little Brownie Bakers servicing your area, the other bakery is ABC Bakery - it also means that beyond the most popular 5 cookies you have different options than we do here with the other bakery. Oh if you love Trefoils then you need to try "Girl Scout Dessert" - the chef at camp would make it on extremely hot days for the girls: take some Trefoils (or any GS cookie) and crush them into crumbs then press them into the bottom of a baking pan (any shape) that is freezer safe. Then take any flavor Jello mix (any brand too) and mix it into whipped cream (just the powder into the cream no water added) and spread it onto the crushed cookies then freeze for a few hours until its firm then cut into bars to enjoy. Our favorite combos were the Trefoils with pineapple Jello and sprinkled with coconut - tastes like a pina colada, and Thin Mints with Raspberry jello with crushed frozen raspberries on top. Sorry for the long winded response but GS is life, and I get excited. Oh I also started wearing make up for Dance but I only ever learned how to do the crazy pancake stage makeup because that is what we had to wear both for recitals and in the HS guard team I performed in, which is why I started watching the channel because I felt that in my 30s I should probably know how to do my makeup like a normal human and not be trying to tone down the flames or leaves or snowflakes I was used to painting my face up into for performances - and my new students (middle school girls) told me I looked crazy with my bright colors up to my eyebrows and beyond.

Hey Ingrid! It's not that you can't SMELL the asparagus pee, but yours just doesn't get that scent. It means that you're lacking a certain enzyme (like about 50% of people) that splits components of the asparagus into their "smelly" metabolites. So if you smelled someone else's pee who has that enzyme, you could smell it too! Just ask someone if you may sniff their pee, it could be the beginning of a wonderful friendship! 😄 (Hope it was understandable, I'm not a native speaker)

I never got the big deal about VPL, especially since if someone's checking out your butt, odds are they aren't going to get put off by it
@skmiu50427 жыл бұрын
Arrowdodger I do it to have a more seamless look and I think it looks nicer. For me, I dont like VPL so I only purchase hanky panky (on sale from Dillard's)

Katherine Stevens So the same about undies. I actually googled Bonds to check them out. I will admit I have 3 white black and nude bras. I threw away all of the other ones as they were taking up valuable space. And weren't doing me any good. Bought 2 new ones at Christmas. Hated them returned them. But yes I wash mine constantly. But still slightly embarrassed about it.

I love this video! It is so nice that you share things that many people wouldn't. It makes me feel less weird about my own weird habits and quirks! ☺

Dicte Glob Cookies that girl scouts sell
@dicteglob49067 жыл бұрын
sooo they sell cookies? from door to door or in the store?
@JamietheFangirl227 жыл бұрын
Dicte Glob mostly door to door but some Girl Scouts do booth sales outside stores to random people.

It's an American thing. The Girl Scouts raise many for organizations going around selling cookies in front of stores and door to door

I didn't think I would ever touch my toes but after a few yoga and reformer Pilates classes at night with a good stretch on the reformer I could! Your flexibility usually improves as the day goes on and can come and go, but try Pilates on a reformer if you want to improve 😊

Trefoils haven't been called trefoils since 2011. That's why no one knows what they are. Now they are just called shortbreads.

Charlotte Wisthuff I just looked it up an apparently they're called different things in different parts of the country. Just like some places call caramel delights samosas.
@notlikewater7 жыл бұрын
As a Girl Scout, the name difference is due to the different bakers! Basically, there are two bakers that provide Girl Scout cookies, and the different companies have slightly different names/recipes for their cookies, such as with trefoils/shortbreads and samoas/caramel delites!

we have SO much in common!! -when i was a baby, people didn't know my gender either because my mom dressed me in both genders of clothing aand my name is rosabelle which sounds like roosevelt and they often would mis-hear and think i was a boy. -my favorite girls scout cookies are savannah smiles and no one knows about them either bc they are relatively new. -it has to be dark for me to sleep too because i love the absence of everything. -once i get into something, i'm super super super obsessed with it too. -i'm not super obsessed with etiquette, but i think traditions are super interesting and i am obsessed with self-improvement stuff which is in the same vein -i love boo the dog and i collect stuff with him on it -totally pick my nose too lol -i wrote obsessively elaborately in second grade too! -i wear grannie panties only.. no extra stuff down below -i have all 4 wisdom teeth omg we would totally be friends irl lol

The whole thing about etiquette is something I can relate to. My Granny taught me etiquette lessons every summer I used to spend with her when I was lite and they still stick with me today. To make this all better, yes, I am from the UK but my knowledge of etiquette is sometimes looked upon a weird to my friends.

You can buy this little filter that you can pour your wine through into your glass that removes the sulphites. Apparently they are only there for preservation so it doesn't affect the taste. Think britta filter except for wine! You should try it out!
