Taking some eye candy to Canada in July. I know it is possible to add scent but I don't know which brand is compatible. I have Gulp and Baitmate. What would you recommend? Thanks.

Love the durability, find that they can be a pain to rig onto a jig head though

In my experience, I find the style of bait keepers VMC moon eye jigs have makes it easier to rig

I must say I'm a little disappointed in those Eye Candy baits due to the lack of color. There is too much transparency to the baits and not enough solids in the colors. It's almost like fishing an invisible bait. They may be fine for clear natural lakes, but they won't work so well in muddy Lake Erie (Western Basin). Also, at the high price point, I'll go with Z-Man or Crush City. I bought them last year so maybe Northland fixed the color problem since then.

I don't now. I feel like the colors are a strength. Some of the colors have some translucency to them (which, you're right, is a benefit in on many of the natural lakes I fish), but there are plenty of colors that "solid" so to speak. I've had a lot of success with many of the bright colors, both on the Mississippi River and the Rainy River. And also on some of the dirtier/muddy natural lakes I've fished.
