#16 What have I DONE ! 😖 OFF Frame RESTORATION begins Datsun 520

Over the top and in too deep!! I removed the body off of my 1968 Datsun 520 in order to do a full off frame restoration.

I wish I were there to work right along side of you, helping you to take this bed off and putting it on your cart. I do hope that your not going to ruin this truck by lowering it to the ground and putting this ugly wagon wheels and thin tires on it. Please keep it stock.

Hi Benny, When you started this project I could see the dominoes standing down the road. Having watched you for some time now I have a pretty good sense of your drive and personality. This being said, my friend, try to control yourself and not build a show vehicle. Ha ha. I've been down this road many times and, being like you, it's hard to say " good enough ". I had one of these little trucks in the early 70's. It was a good little truck, but the New England salt ate it. Good luck, I'll be watching. Dave

Drove my 66 from 1999 to 2019, never restored it, bondo on top of bondo. I put 110,000 miles on over the coupla hundred thousand it already had. Previous owner put a J15 in mine. Still have the truck but have retired it. Got a vehicle with airbags now.
