For the person asking about Edinburgh whisky bars. There’s loads. The Bow Bar, The Ensign Ewart, Scotch at The Balmoral, Amber at the Scotch Whiskt Experience, Usqabae, The Albanach, The Devils Advocate, The Black Cat, The Canny Man’s, Whiski and I would thoroughly recommend the 2 SMWS venues on Queen Street and the Vaults in Leith.

Lucky to have bought this bottle as well, convinced me to buy some of the Foursquare expectional cask as well, but slightly prefer this one still. I get a nice sherry like sweetness mixed with chocolate on it, with some dirty campbeltown style machine oil's.

Great live. Happy that are you back with lives after these fantastic vlogs😊 My only Daftmill bottle right now is the 15 year old. But that’s more an emotional buy for me cause I watched the movie Amber Light with my dad some years ago where is Daftmill showing up. Another whisky recommendation is the Craigeallachie 19 1000ml bottle from 2014 (travel retail). Got two of them for 150€ at auction. Fantastic whisky. I have the Craigeallachie 23 2017 batch from the auction for 230€. Also the 750ml. Do not know why. A few weeks ago the new Craigeallachie 23 showed up here in Germany. 270€ Some German whisky Reviewers liked it a lot but they said that there is way more sherry in it which they liked a lot more. I think I am happy with the old one. Did not bought a new version. And also a new release of the 19 year old showed up too but now in the 700ml bottle cause no travel retail. 200€. I do not know if it is the same Whisky like the 2014 version. But the price is stupid. The 17 is here around 100€. The 13 and the 13 Bas Armagnac are both not for me. The 17 is solid. The 19 from 2014 is a banger for me. I think it is only Bourbon Cask too. I am looking forward to the 23 and to a 20 year old from Old Particular Sherry Butt Matured. My „oldest“ Caol Ila from the Destillation date was a 27 year old from 1983. I have a miniature from the German independent bottler Malts of Scotland. It says over 38 years. Happy to have this. Also have a miniature from them with a 42 year old Glen Scotia. Happy Days🥃👌 See you soon. Cheers.

Nice to see some videos!! You should try some hampden and worthy park. You get some interesting funky flavours due to long fermentations. Have a look at the Hampden distillery, their process and fermentation vats are something to behold. Could put you off drinking it though. Haha. Did you get a chance to try the benromach cask strength releases? Would be interesting to compare to your single cask release. They are generally a bourbon and sherry mix.

I have heard some stories about those stinky fermentations. I have not tried the Benromach CS probably similar.

I second the Hampden idea. Hampden Overproof is sortof the Laphroaig 10 CS of the rum world.

Yes if you can get hold of the Hampden Great house bottling it’s a good representation of the distillery. It’s a mix of high ester(very fruity, fermented fruit) and low ester.

you need to get some CS Hampden Estate Jamaican rum. the nose is fowl but the flavor is wild and crazy. the nose ruins it for a lot of people ,but if you can get past the nose it's good stuff.

@@WhiskyMystery it's very different than Barbados style rums or many other rums but be warned the smell is awful and that is why I don't really care about the nose on anything anymore. I don't find much relevance in it and there is too much made to do about the noses because it's been hyped. I don't care about snorting around in glasses anymore and has very little value in reality. Too much group think in general on KZbin and it drives over hyping
