Maybe there was a time limit for performances, and he went over. There was a young man waiting in the wings with a microphone. Still, having a talent show during school hours, and expecting the students to return to classes afterwards, was poor planning on the Principal’s part. You handle the scheduling like you would a pep rally. Either before school, or right after.
