Was just having problems sleeping again, and turned on light to write. Then I looked on youtube and your video on my timeline (spooky how the internet seems to read my mind!) Thank you, osteoarthritis pain flared up badly yesterday

Hi Dr Andrea this was most interesting and very well presented. I have suffered from sleep deprivation for a number of years due to stress, fibromyalgia and a spinal cord injury. I’m on a number of medications. The best medicine for me for a restful night is plenty of fresh air in the countryside no matter the weather. Being a wheelchair user does have challenges. I feel complete freedom in the countryside as long as it’s not too wet or muddy!

I found this video quite interesting. I struggle with pain issues associated with Sjogren's Disease (inflammatory arthritis, neuropathy, and generalized inflammation). In the evening, as I'm winding down, I begin experiencing pain in my shoulders, back, hips, and legs that gradually ramps up. It's hard to describe this pain but it comes on suddenly and is quite predictable. I'm fortunate to have a wonderful internal medicine doctor that is very proactive about strategies to manage my pain. I take Duloxetine, Pregabalin twice daily. An hour or so before bedtime I take Tramadol, Requip, and Baclofen. This combination allows me to sleep most nights.

Some great info. Love that you introduced the concept of circadian rhythms and impact of cytokines at night time. Will definitely have a look at your videos on sleep efficiency and sleeping positions! Thank you!

I also have blood disorder itp. I see a Phd doc regularly too. Along with diabetes type 2 one kidney. I’m so limited on meds

Bladder pressure and restless leg syndrome, insomnia keeps me awake,EPI Pancreatic Insufficiency,nocturnal pooping keeps my sister awake.

@@DrAndreaFurlan ,I have never heard of EPI before my sister got it, your not able to keep weight on,her and folks that have it, sometimes literally sleep on the bathroom floor in agony, throwing up from both ends in horrible pain, she was covered in it all and slept on the floor, didn't have the strength to clean herself up,she said she couldn't even say Jesus help me, she's so suicidal over this, it's such a horrific disease to have,thank you for your kind words.

Night-time is a problem! It doesn't matter how much exercise I get and how well I've felt during the day the pain in my neck and thigh always flares when I'm lying in bed trying to sleep. I toss and turn in a desperate attempt to try and find a comfortable position. The only solution for me is painkillers - either before I go to bed or half-way through the night. I try not to take them every night but sometimes for my overall health it just has to be done!

I have a teen left at home. No matter how good the kids are I’m over stimulated after. I keep a reg routine. I can’t work any more. I keep pushing through it at home. Keep up house work cook dinner for my husband and daughter. He works all day 12 plus hours. I have a very supportive family house hold. I’m just so overwhelmed. Overstimulated at the end of the day. I take vitamin d 2 000 mg. I do have low vitamin d. 20 level. How can I help with the over stimulated

Have you tried medical marijuana? I find that edibles, tinctures and RSO work best for head pain. Just my 2 cents.
