My folks had a 1959 Bonnevillel 4 door hardtop VISTA DOME (FLAT TOP). White w/Coral roof and two-tone interior. One of the most beautiful dashes ever ! Great car. A real show stopper !

This gorgeous '59 Pontiac brought me funny memories. I was born in 1951, and 2 years later my grandfather bought a new 1953 black 4-door Pontiac Chieftain, which I grew fond of, as he kept it until 1962. I still recall the sound of the 8-cyl inline engine, and learned to read its Pontiac badges, with the red indian head. Then, in 1959, I saw a brand-new white '59 Pontiac, that I recognized by its badges. I was completely shocked to see the new Pontiac so chromed, so large, so informal, as compared to my grandpa's '53 - so formal, so sedate, so square. How could a car change so much in such a short number of years?! That was my funny question to myself!
