I really appreciate this not just being a screen recording, and that we can see your physical interactions with the interface. Its super helpful to just see how you hold the pen and navigate the camera with the same hand, as well as all the sculpting tips

@@drugfreedave It’s going to be fun, my daughter gave me a bunch of ideas for collectibles and power-ups in the game, now, it’s just finding the time to get them all drawn and sculpted. I like starting 2D first and using a reference image. Unicorns, magic carpets, rainbows here I come! Hehe

@@drugfreedave Question 🙋‍♂️ after sculpting is done, how do you create an animation loop? For example make the character walk so when I import to Roblox he actually walks? I suppose the Roblox part I can research but was just curious what you think the best way is to animate them? The other question 🙋‍♂️ … How can I transfer a Nomad Sculpt I created on my iPhone over to my Nomad Sculpt on my iPad? I was on the go and sculpted on my phone but would like to keep everything on one device for ease of review and managing all of them, plus, the iPad is easier to draw using.

Hi Dave, just out of curiosity, why don't you use the Transform tool when inserting the spheres on the bands ? You can set the pivot as a SNAP anchor on the first sphere and then within a few seconds place the other spheres on the surface using Transform Tool Move. Then also each sphere has the exact aligned pivot for each position. Great figure and great video !

Hey Dave, this is a great tutorial! I'm currently doing this entire tutorial in Blender 3.5 to see if I can apply your working methods and steps on a desktop with a mouse - using basic spheres, boxes and shapes for blocking in before re-meshing and whatnot. So far it's working out pretty well. I have Nomad but I really like being able to use lower poly objects with modifiers along with higher poly sculpting in Blender and I'm pretty familiar with Blender so I'm not spending time wondering where things are. Also using paths or bezier curves with modifiers for the arms and legs is a very similar workflow to the tube tool and it's great to keep the poly count down for the collar and arm cuffs using toruses and primitive shapes that don't really need to be re-meshed. You can also use the sculpt tools on lower poly elements to move or position things. So far so good.

That's Bowser when he was little. Bowser Jr has a different scarf around his neck. His scarf has a scary mouth draw on it. Baby Bowser and Bowser Jr do look alike though.
