Julie I have a girl that I listen to and I watch and she does intricate things with the face before she puts the resin in she does it with acrylic paints and she lets it dry for 30 minutes then she puts the resident they come out awesome

Touch up the hair withe a darker gold on the tips or in the valleys of the hair. It will give some depth. Same with the tail. And in the shells.

This is so pretty, and the sea shell in her hands come out just perfect! 💕 Thank you for sharing not just the visual process but education along the way. I have tried blending mica colors on the mold, and it never looked the same once done as it did when I was applying. Learned today that's because what color goes down first is it, and while it may appear that I am blending colors, the truth is revealed after the resin hardens and its removed from the mold. And here I was blaming the resin for "canceling" one of the colors 😂

Ohhh, *WOW,* Julie!!! She's *SUPERB!* 😍❤😘 I love the colors you used, especially the holographics. That silver is YUMMY! Maybe for another one, you could give her dark hair, brownish skin, copper bra, shell in her hand, and tail...not sure about the scales...pearl beige? Pale green? Then, pretty pink flowers in her hair, and that gorgeous green (or purple) for her seaweed belt? You are going to have to wear two crowns, you know: Mould and Bloom Queen! A heavy crown, but well-deserved! 👸

@bernadette edwards Yes, indeed, you can dust any powders on a mold before pouring your resin! It just depends on the effect you are going for. Just make sure you turn the mold over and tap out the excess powder over a trash bin, or you'll have powder everywhere. Not that I would know anything about that... 😁 Usually, a black or very dark background is poured as it makes all colors 'pop' and become absolutely brilliant. But, in this case, it could possibly cause her skin to turn grey; hence, the white resin.

This would be such a cool mold to use that raindrop technique but just in some of the little places like her crown and eyes and shell. Or the other technique you did with some of the frogs with the clear resin and glitter in some spots as the first layer and then the mica powder on the rest of the mold and black resin backing!
