The song "Precious Lord" was written by Thomas Dorsey the "Father of Black Gospel Music." He wrote this song after his wife Nettie died while giving birth to their baby boy and his son died as well. He buried them together in the same casket. This song was born of out Thomas' grief and suffering. It captures the very essence of how Thomas Dorsey was feeling during his time of bereavement. My daughter once saw Aretha in Bloomingdales, NYC. I'm a Gospel Quartet Singer for nearly 50yrs now and yes the sound of a song may be attractive but I pray so, that it is the words of the song that touches, moves an individual, etc. The beat can be forgotten, but it is the words that will brighten dark day's, strengthens in times of weakness, etc.. Too many fall for these enablers, those that have once known The Truth or The Truth as they knew It and have rendered most of their service and success to the service of satan. Diva, superstar, fame, etc??? Jesus likened Angel's to stars, diva is a secular term or characteristic.. Either their of God or of satan. I've learned thisca few years ago, that just because we or one sings a song referencing Jesus or His likeness thereof, that doesn't make us of God, Holy, right with God, etc... I don't know what kind of "spirit ghost" he may or may not have caught, but in my experience, this is NOTHING like receiving the HOLY GHOST as it was spoken of in the Holy Writ in the book of Acts!! The disciples/apostles and many others including Jesus' mother, Mary, received it in the upper room and it is still being poured out today!!!! Jesus is still alive and working in many hearts, and when one totally sells out and gives up his own will, the power of God will make itself manifest in such a way as to leave NO DOUBT that it was a heavenly encounter, because when He fills you it is done in a way that no human can replicate!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bless your heart, you mean well but, sweetheart, as much as I LOVE My President Obama, you don't "catch the spirit ghost" whatever that is. When one is "filled with the Holy Ghost" it is a life changing experience, not a rocking. The President was moved and greatly inspired, he is an absolutely Wonderful man, no doubt!!! But, the precious Holy Ghost is a person that comes to bring about great change through an indwelling, not an entertainer.
