** Trigger Warning & Note to My Audience: There is some discussion centering around childhood trauma, attachment trauma, and a discussion about the movie 'The Butterfly Effect'. If you find this disturbing, please feel free to skip this video. Your mental and emotional well being is my utmost concern. ** I take great pride in answering all questions I receive as accurately and honestly as possible and sometimes this involves talking about sensitive subjects. In my humble opinion, life is nothing more than a learning experience in which we all grow from. ** Regular videos about antiques and collectible finance will resume soon. **
For the rest of you, welcome back to Reserved Investments and welcome to my 16K subscriber Q & A GRAND FINALE. It is quite possible I missed some of your questions. Rest assured, I will do better going forward if I did. Lots of great topics and apologies for spending about 11 minutes on the first question alone...

That "having to start over by no fault of your own in your mid 30s" really hits home. Been there ,lived it. 45 now.. I make 6 figures now but It took 12 additional years to get there. It was definitely rough.

@kbruns33
@kbruns33 26 күн бұрын
@@Mousevengeance Unfortunately comparing dollar amounts is somewhat apples/oranges as your taxes provide a lot of *EXPENSIVE* services that ours don't. (but that is off topic) If that 31k is Pounds then you're making around 40k USD/yr. Which is, where I live anyway the median income of most people. I sold my soul for my income though. I work a blue-collar railroad job that owns me 24-7. In the end.. its not worth it but it does put my kid through college. (which is costing me $30k/USD a year alone) I basically traded the best years of my life to ensure my kids have a better one. That being said, when I lost my last job (outsourced) I had JUST had my 3rd kid and went through a second surgery on my hand for some issues, and it took me 5 months to find suitable work, and a decade+ at that job to grow my income back to where it is now . I (as Shawn described in his comments) literally almost lost **everything**. And while I am nowhere near the point where money is "abstract" as he says. (or maybe its trauma) , im.,, comfortable, but the specter of that experience is always looking over my shoulder.

This was a really well done vid! You took us down a lot of paths that came completely out of left field. That kept the vid entertaining but you still delivered solid advice throughout. I consider myself a have-not. I am grateful for what I have and for as big a screw up as I am, I feel blessed to have what I do. That said, I would like to hear more about what you have to say about money. The way you broke it down in this vid was fascinating but I have a feeling that isn't even the tippiest-tip of the iceberg. I'm pretty old (one year older than you) and still handle money as if I'm in high school so maybe it's time I receive some relevant tips and pointers to improve my situation with the minimal time I may have left.

The Director's Cut was much better. It was the only way to ensure that everything turned out good for his friends. Furthermore,there was a HUGE foreshadowing scene with the fortune teller that makes the Director's Cut make more sense that the Theatrical Cut.
@bargaintuesday812
@bargaintuesday812 25 күн бұрын
@@weaslepopper It wasn't though, because he did resolve everything in the regular ending. The womb ending was too goofy to be taken seriously. Every time he went back, his head filled with more knowledge of different lifetimes and it was giving him nosebleeds because his brain couldn't handle the amount of information. So when his brain is the size of a newborn baby, it would have exploded. Not to mention a baby brain wouldn't have had the mental capacity to know where he's at and to make the conscious decision to do something like that with the umbilical cord. It was just too cartoonishly silly in tone. Changing the ending saved the entire movie.
@weaslepopper
@weaslepopper 24 күн бұрын
@@bargaintuesday812 Again,it does make more sense because of the foreshadowing of what the psychic told him. She said that he shouldn't have even existed ,so as long as he did,things would never be right. The Theatrical ending was just a copout because the normies didn't like how dark the Director's ending was.

Shawn normally I agree with you on most things. (Even the Butterfly Effect), but I think your opinion of college is dated. I spent over a decade in higher ed (working for and selling too) and can confidently tell you that they have lost their way. You can get the same education online for free (greatly reduced) and with the coming AI changes the trade jobs where the real money will be all come out of vocational/trade schools. But what do I know… maybe I’m just a college educated Timmy.

Your assessment is not wrong. I feel however, that the critical thinking skills college can provide, far outweigh the alternative. I do 100% agree with you about A.I. as I know even lawyers are quite concerned for their livelihoods over advancements in that kind of technology.

@@ReservedInvestments right teaching people how to think, not what to think was an important part of my liberal arts education from the 90's! Unfortunately in many institutions that's been captured and I've witnessed it. There are definitely exceptions to the rule but the Ivory Tower Academics also don't have exclusivity on being able to teach this skill.
