A desktop will get you more power than a laptop for the same price. I'd recommend buying a decent desktop, and then if you really need one, a low end laptop (One that isn't for gaming.)

That HUE bulb is a Gen 3 btw... It would be dumb to get a Gen 2 :P Gen 3 has gold text on the bulb, and "enhanced colours" on the box Gen 2 has bad blue and green colours, with silver text on the bulb Gen 1 is no longer for sale, but had a silver lining (the whole bulb was silver with black/grey text)
