WD40 has strong chemical components. I would never dream of spraying it anywhere food is prepared , or where people can get trace elements on hands. This video is pretty careless in promoting non intended uses for it.

On the WD40 Web site, the marketing pitch lists the ingredients as "secret," but the material safety data sheet (MSDS) indicates the following: 60 to 70 percent petroleum distillates, 15 to 25 percent base oil and 2 to 3 percent carbon dioxide.

I have not tried but I have seen some folks use WD-40 in their pour painting. When trying to acquire cells in their pour painting. It is a cell activator. I have seen many do that.

I agree. My brother is a chemist. In 2016, he almost died from a super aggressive form of kidney cancer. It went from the size of a pea and in 2 weeks grew to the size of a softball. At work, they were studying a chemical, somehow he was exposed. That chemical is what is left over when you "char" or burn meat, hotdogs on gas or charcoal grills. You are only spraying the rack, not dismantling the grill and removing all of the debris from below that has now fallen, which will heat up and release toxins that cause cancer. You might want to do some research because who knows what combining the 2 chemicals will do.

Sorry but I don’t see how this is safe to use on a grill or other eating utensils that’s coming in coming in contact with food & ingesting it? I know it says let it dry & then wipe off excess, but there will still be residue. Can u please clarify if this is indeed safe to do?
@thebastardgift

I did not think about that until I read your comment which led me to question, if WD 40 residue is not removed from the grill then it becomes flammable.

When I worked in retail selling white goods, we cleaned them with baby oil. Stainless steel comes up beautifully. WD 40 is not suitable for anything that comes in contact with food, neither is baby oil, but at least it is safe enough for babies skin!

I use baby oil on all my stainless-steel appliances. I also use it to polish the water marks off the faucets. It makes them look new and shiny for a while.. It also repels water drops... Gotta do it about once per week tho. It only take a few drops

For everyone watching this, please do not use WD-40 on any food preparation, surfaces, or utensils that are going in your mouth! Highly toxic! And if you have a little children, don’t use WD-40 to clean the outside of your refrigerator. They will touch it and stick their hands in their mouth! The whole WD-40 clips should’ve been deleted from this video!

@@TheTruthIsUncomfortable the problem is some people aren’t smart enough and then could end up poisoning their kids! If adults want to do it, find a dandy they can poison themselves, but if they have any children that are going to be eating off the utensils or grill or touching the refrigerator. That’s full of WD-40 then yeah I report it. Because some people just aren’t flipping smart.
