Is there big difference between a 2017 model versus a 2021-2022 model, engine wise?

2017-2019 models has slight engine and turbo differences, late 2018 models received DSG7 and GPF, the new 2020 evo4 engine to my knowledge has turbo with more potential ( c.a. 420-430 hp instead of 390-400 hp ), but the software is still uncracked, so it is unable to chip them yet.

@@MaslAlek Thank you very much for this informative answer. I didn't know about the 2020 models haven't been cracked yet.. It's been 2 years I wonder whats up with that? Maybe it's normal! Atleast I know to look for the DSG 7.

@@Bimmerboy353 Yes definitely DSG7 ( DQ 381 ) is way to go, it shifts faster, has shorter gears and can cope with more torque. ( 570 Nm is safe )
