As @Rokishi mentioned, Rudeus assembled his PC from scratch when he was in middle school which is fairly impressive all things considering. The PC is one of the few projects he started and finished by himself and thus had sentimental importance for him and which is why it hurt so much that it was destroyed even if he totally deserves due to what he was using that computer for. Rudeus in his previous life was a piece of trash in the shape of a human being, not evil necessarily but undoubtedly despicable which is why he is such a great isekai MC. He really can use a second chance. Many isekai MCs were great people before Reincarnation, like Rimuru. Rudeus was at his lowest point in life and wishing he could start over. Also, he was japanese and thus he cared to being somewhat clean, the reason he had dirty clothes is sad and disgusting, when he would need clean clothes or food he would bang his floor in the second floor so his parents, his mom would bring it to him but well... They died and so for days no one had carried neither to him. Jobless Reincarnation is more or less a translation of Mushoku Tensei, it would be better if it were "a guy without a job Reincarnated" but the next, longer part of the title that I will not copy because I would get it wrong means something like "in this new world I will try my hardest". Wich is what sets Rudeus apart, other characters may be stronger or suffer more but Rudeus many times encounters a moment when he feels "surely this is enough right? I don't have to keep trying hard right?" and he always pushes past that. He likely will never be a heroic figure or a perfect role model but he will try each day to better that he was yesterday. Anyways, as for his interest in computers and programing it sort of returns when studying magic circles but he can't hold a candle to Cliff, Zanoba or Nanahoshi. Finally, Lilia got herself in a difficult position as a guard maid, she protected the third princess Ariel from an assassin and was wounded in the leg by a poisoned dagger, as a thanks for protecting Ariel she was healed but her leg became weak and she could no longer wield the sword properly. Fearing the noble that sent the assassin would likely kill her Lilia ran away from the capital and by accident ran into a quest from Paul asking for a maid. By the way, Paul was taught North God style swordmanship in his noble house, he learned Water Style in Lilia's family dojo and while he picked bits here and there, Ghislaine taught him the Sword Style. I love the Sword Styles because they are great magic systems, each covers an specific area Wich granges them strengths and weaknesses and sometimes can be in a rock paper scissors kind of equilibrium.

@@extraedit4383 not really, they are or at least present themselves most of the time as paragons that have never done a single bad thing and have no real defect outside of things like "I care too much" or "I hate everyone but I will help anyone I find who is in trouble". Also many are as bland and as unremarkable as possible so anyone can protect themselves.

@@martinratagris or they jsut become op for no real reason like i dont mind a op mc but hell make them actual do something with it. its either i want to live a quite life ( while doing nothing to protect said life) and dont want to go off adventuring or being a hero i understand that not everyone wants to do that but when you dont show off how strong you actual are and you look like a gental breeze would push your ass over dotn be surprised when people and or monsters come in and ruin that " quite life". then the side characters are all bland af with only one or two that are actually good ( depending on series). like if you get op and you want a quite life the smart thing would be to show off the power and make your name known i mean yeah you might have to fight the odd ego noble or the super ego monster every now and again but thats hell of alot better than having to constantly be fightting that shit every day.

About the last one, there's I think a line in his monologue in the LN that says that he tried a lot of stuff when he was holing up in his room back then. And he was mediocre in everything. (He even tried making his own figurines, after buying a lot of them from his parents' fortune) He believed that if he tried harder then he may have been successful.

it was not a literal nuclear spell, the tought passed his mind but stick up to literal "fire ball" + his knowledge about chemistry and combustion + a fuck ton of mana. Fun fact in the anime the colors sequennce on the fireball match the star colors by temperature they even nealy skiped green(passed way faster that the other colors) because there is no actual green star (the color of star is an average of nucleus to superficie color and the difference in temperature makes impossible a star actually be green light )

Respect bro. Reading both needs dedication. I have started multiple times and was everytime annoyed because I either forget which chapter or Novel I was in... After getting confused enough, I started with the WN and Im at the 3 Volume rn I simply have not enough freetime to read enough to call it reading chapters. Funny thing, I only have finished WN and LN of Shield Hero and the WN of Tsuki ga michibiku isekai douchoo (tsukimichi moonlit fantasy), due to the LN being only a Japanese print product _or simply haven't found somebody who scanned it and translated the Japanese version yet_ Still though, respect on Mushoku)))

No, it's not true that he did that however there are some small changes as to why he got kicked out depending on what version you read. In the web novel he did something that was disgusting and horrifying which is watching a recording of his kid niece bathing which he himself had created by installing a camera. But in the light novel it was simply just a regular x-rated video that he was watching.

That's literally positive karma tier by Asura nobility metrics (lets not speak of the ROYAL FAMILY tier degeneracy shit, which is even worse, since plenty of mid to high ranking noble clans are distant relatives of the Royal Family, so you know they are even worse than any nobles are in comparison). Basically the words used in the original Japanese went something long the lines of “surprise sex” and the person translated it to r*pe but what it actually meant was that Paul woke her up in the middle of the night to do it, thus the word suprise
