I love how many and many KZbinrs are inspired by channels like Knobs, it should become a standard. Who even likes 10 min of talking and 10 min of blues licks? I already have my boys from the pedal show for that lol

I‘ve been testing a lot of modulation multi fx like the Mobius, the Wampler Terraform, the Poly Beebo, etc and I‘ve got the feeling that the GFI one here is the most natural and organic sounding one (still in 2022) when it comes to effects like chorus, etc - what do you think?

Absolutely gorgeous !! I need to try one of these on my board with my sax at some point. Does it have stereo in as well, or does it have to be the first stereo pedal in the chain ? Killing demo and video by the way ! Cheers.
@ponderersounds31725 жыл бұрын
Thanks man! It is mono in so your first stereo pedal.
@nikolajhansen155 жыл бұрын
BlendReed I am considering buying this pedal but I dont understand what is the significance of not having a stereo in? (Im a newb when it comes to pedals). Does that mean that the pedal has to be placed before delay and Reverb pedals if these are stereo pedals? If this is the case, would one normally have delay and Reverb before modulation?
@ponderersounds31725 жыл бұрын
Hey my man, let me give you a quick run down. If you want to run a stereo rig you most likely will start with mono pedals and then split to stereo with your first stereo pedal, typical conventional pedal order is comps drives fuzz & pitch before modulation followed by delay and reverb, but as in everything musical you can do whatever you want, there are distinct sound differences by messing with the conventional order of things, some people like those sounds, some don’t. I for one do, so I do feel that the mono input is the only downside to this pedal, that said I have mono delays and reverbs anyway that will be before it and stereo ones after.
@Rhacut4 жыл бұрын
Killer sounds! Does the “Got Echoes” preset have an option to change the tap divisions of the delay?

Amazing video, why oh why did they not make it stereo in?!! :(
@racerx30655 жыл бұрын
What's the big deal? It only really needs to be stereo out since mod goes before delay and reverb anyway. What else would need to be in stereo?
@ponderersounds31725 жыл бұрын
I feel that way just a little because I actually prefer Tremolo after Delay and Dimension & Vibrato after everything, but I have some mono delays and reverbs on my board too so they go before it
@ponderersounds31725 жыл бұрын
Mod doesn’t strictly have to go before delay, that’s just modern conventionalism, much more fun mixing it up!
@ezm695 жыл бұрын
@@racerx3065 for synths in particular stereo in would be very useful, guitar not so much.
@lawrencevaughan53735 жыл бұрын
racerx3065 because I want to use it with my synths which have stereo out. With synths it’s generally a desired thing to record in stereo.

Hey ponderer, do you know if its possible to have 1 effect in the middle of the chain (like chorus, etc.) and another at the end of the chain (like tremolo, etc) without need of switching pedals like Gigrig G2? My question is basically if you can use Synesthesia like 2 separate stompboxes and choose different chains? Thanks
@ponderersounds31724 жыл бұрын
Yep, quite easy to do, the one thing I forgot to demo was the ability to do that.

@@ponderersounds3172 omfg thats amazing, im buying it now! thats amazing! because of this it just beats mobius, terraform, etc hands down! thanks for answer

No stereo in, buzzkill.
@ponderersounds31725 жыл бұрын
I feel ya man, but that’s literally the only downside, I’ve had it on my board with some mono wet effects before it and stereo stuff after and I don’t even really give the mono in a second thought now.
@asynchronicity5 жыл бұрын
Ponderer Sounds Right, it’s totally doable. I like to modulate stereo delays and reverbs with filtering / flanging / phasing at like 30% wet for moody and morphing atmospheres and such, but this would still be phenomenal after a Carbon Copy or similar.

@racerx30655 жыл бұрын
That was fast! How do you like the terraform? I really wanted it and now this has popped up...
@ezm695 жыл бұрын
racerx3065 it was probably tied with my Empress Nebulous as my favorite all in one mod until now. The Nebulous is superior sound wise, but doesn’t do as much (no phaser) but the flange, trems and autoswell on the Terraform are really nice (still not the best phaser sound however and envelope filter, univibe and rotary i find lower quality, but in fairness, I have some pretty premium stand alone examples). This does more than both and then some, more tweakable, duel fx, sounds incredible and a display so you know whats chosen for the win. 😉
@racerx30655 жыл бұрын
@@ezm69 it's a tempting package alright! This is definitely offering more but i don't know if I can justify the higher cost since I don't know if I'll even use mod that much! It looks so good though
@ezm695 жыл бұрын
@@racerx3065 I can offer you a little bit of a deal on a Terraform! lol 🤠 The Terraform is a nice pedal. If you're not comparing it to stand alone modulation pedals it's very good, even if I think the Synesthesia is better (at a $100 higher price). Each one has it's own unique things it does that the others won't do, and fx that are better representations than the other unit. I don't think any all in one can claim to be the best at every effect (not even close). I would say that where this one wins is the interface, duel fx and no fx that I've heard yet that are just not good at all.
@ponderersounds31725 жыл бұрын
My two cents if it helps is that I typically don’t go nuts for 60-70% of the type of models in the Synesthesia, but they’ve done such an unbelievable job with algorithms that I found it really hard to narrow down which sounds to demonstrate with my 10 loops. I think anyone who gets this for a few sounds will gain a love for more modulation than they think by proxy ✌🏼

You have used heavily processed signals to feed the pedal. It's difficult to understand what comes from the pedal and what was already in the input. That really kills this demo.

What are you referring to in particular? It’s all dry guitar loops, a couple of standard synth patches, an orchestral loop and a drum loop. Nothing heavily processed at all.
