So many shot opportunities missed. Get the lead out man! Thanks for sharing your videos.

Thanks for posting. This is a perfect environment for shooting free hand, more natural and much more satisfying, I'd also expect a higher tally.

Next time use a rocket launcher instead, so many hogs got away.

Looks like you got your hands on a new Thor4 640 unit, and I was wondering your thoughts on it compared to the 384 unit you also were using. Some nice shooting, and if that landowner is looking for someone to hunt during the week (I'm retired), I'd be happy to have such a target-rich environment.. ;)
@TexasJAGD6 жыл бұрын
ThOR4 are not shipping yet. It's a ThOR HD 640 I'm using. That's the previous generation. It's a workhorse for sure though.

Out of all those pigs you got 17? You had your spot on tons of pigs and you didn't fire...what's that all about?

Have you ever hunted in a populated area? Near roads? That's what that is all about.

make America great again it's always easy to have an opinion when looking at these videos afterwards and I would have done some things differently too. But watching a video and being there, having to process a multitude of factors before making the decision to pull that trigger, are two different things. And I'd rather err on the side of caution than pulling that trigger one time too often. We could have done better. Maybe could have gotten 6-8 more hogs that night, but overall we've done pretty good IMHO.

Any of those edible? And was this done with your 6.5 Grendel?
@TexasJAGD5 жыл бұрын
No, this was prior to the Grendel. Shooting 300 BLK. Grendel would have yielded a few more hogs I'm guessing. We'll see how it'll do in a target-rich environment like this, this summer. Edible - we take hams/backstraps from the last few we kill. During summer months, the meat spoils fast.

Be careful, 1:41 shooter covered top of spotters head with business end of rifle. On any firing line that’s a no no.

@@TexasJAGD Well I have seen most of your other videos. I have seen you perform much better than this. I know what your capable of.

I get lucky sometimes :) jokes aside - I think I have a lot of opportunity for increasing consistency. Would love to do more shooting practice, and training. But unfortunately I just don't have the time to invest there. Recently had the opportunity to spend some time at FTW Ranch in Texas, and definitely took some tips home from there. But those were more for long range scenarios.
