Terror of the Hemasaurus is on sale! It's such a well written, funny little gem! I just completed it today and it's up there as one of my favourite of the year "Earth is on the brink of a climate catastrophe! The first game kinda needs the fast forward for some battles but BK Origins is straight up the best turn based battle system if you ask me. Once you get a hang of it you can literally cut down boss battles to a fraction of time.

Regarding times in life when you think you can approach situations like you would in a video game: I distinctly remember back when the first Tony Hawk game came out, I spent the next couple months sizing up whatever bit of terrain I found myself in (be it the mall or the freeway) in terms of how I might navigate it with a combination of grinds, slides, and transfers. Never mind that I'd never been on a skateboard in my life.

Just finished Xuan Yuan Sword 7 this past weekend. It’s a fun action title. Not the greatest looking game on the Switch but on an OLED screen it was a decent port. Choppy frame rates, pop ins, and low textures throughout the game; but if you’re able to power through it, the voice acting and the story was good. Solid 7 for me.

One of the best parts of SwitchUp are the family recommendations that you toss in. I’m playing Ni No Kuni with my two boys but am looking forward to when the younger one can read. I love the idea of a three player RPG that we can play together. I am still enamored with Secret of Mana from my youth but I love having this as an option. Thank you. And from the perspective of a mixed East Asian family from the US, Oriental is a pretty dated term and I would only use for maybe rugs or something similar. The term has ties to a lot of old racist tropes used against folks of East Asian descent. I appreciate your honestly and willingness to question its use because intent does matter.
