#17 | Join the Techno Tribe : 1 hour Improvised Live Set with TR-8s only by Alexander T. Rose

In this 17th installment, I’m excited to share a one-hour pure improvised live techno set, using only the Roland TR8s. This session captures my spontaneous creativity as I dive deep into the capabilities of the TR8s, delivering a mesmerizing mix of techno and minimal techno beats. As you might know, I’ve been preparing for a festival gig on June 7th, where I’ll be performing live using only the TR8s. This setup keeps my gear minimal and my creativity maximal, making each performance a thrilling challenge.
Throughout this one-hour set, I explore a range of tempos and moods, showcasing my journey in mastering the TR8s. Starting at 128 BPM and building up to 143 BPM, this session blends mainly techno vibes with some subtle house elements. This video highlights my process of learning, improvising, and creating with the TR8s in real-time.
