Being a Yamato main myself. I highly advise utilizing her right click a lot more while in your lane. I notice you barely use it through out the match. It's insanely oppressive once you get use to aiming with it. Use left click for the creeps and orbs and right click for the enemies.

Agreed. I was watching another players vs Yamato and he was baffled at how much damage the right click was doing. It’s like 56 damage without items. Ammo scavenger helps with that for sure.

Yeah, I think most of the high MMR players would say that Yamato is actually an insanely strong lane bully with right click and her poke, while Seven is actually not a very oppressive laner because he has to really all in for his stun to actually be a threat.

Worth noting that for Yamato's alt fire, it used to not work with item damage buffs that were conditional like point blank, which is probably why you thought it didn't scale in the past. This past patch they changed it so it does now, so it can still slap, and should still be used as last shot before reloading unless you can guarantee a headshot. Also incredibly useful in lane.

Using dash slide into your 1 makes the ability feel so much better. But the biggest thing is you can charge your punch while flying through the air with your 3 Also use your alternate fire for medium range

I think you are really underrating her kit, especially her 1 for long range hits, as well as her alt fire. There’s also some tech where you can punch with her hook. Been watching Necros a bit and I think he shows it off pretty well, but he does macro

Her original lore, back when the game was a scifi cyberpunk game, was that she was an alien who became obsessed with japanese culture, hence the samurai armour and weird body proportions. You can check out her redesign by literally searching "deadlock Yamato concept art" where she looks normal

Yeahhh. Especially when your teammates suck, games can be very long. I’d say 30-40 minutes is about normal but 50+ are common. Mainly because there isn’t surrender yet. That being said, comebacks are common.
