He shouldn't have neeeded increment here. Simple win at 18:54 Rb4 cuts of white king and sets up staircase mate Qa3,Rb2,Qa1#. White could throw in Rh5+ in response to Rb4, but then Ka4 ends it. He can only drag it out one move longer throwing his rook away with Ra5+ after which black can premove the staircase mate pattern

Hello Agad! I thoroughly enjoy this type of content; it's incredibly helpful for us average players in understanding and analyzing different positions. Your insights make the learning process enjoyable. However, I have a suggestion. It would be great to witness more of your victories. It adds an exciting dynamic to the experience, almost like we're playing alongside you. Occasionally, when the clock is ticking down, it feels a bit disheartening, especially when the last few seconds are played somewhat casually. While we learn a lot from your content regardless of the outcome, the thrill of seeing you win would be an excellent addition. This game I wanted you to win so badly and was bummed to see you not cross the line. Keep up the great work!
@userac-xpg Жыл бұрын
this was so sad. Q+R should be easy to checkmate in 14 secs and you already had it set up. at 18:53 the key move is R-b4. This cuts off whites king and sets up the staircase mating pattern with Qa3, Rb2, Qa1 following. White can throw a nuisance check or give away his rook, but then the mating pattern is unstoppable.

He gave you this game at the end with plenty of time but you seem to not know how to use the queen and rook correctly. 18:54 Rb4 (cutting off white king from half the board) then white has only one check Rh5 after which Ka4 and the Q and rook can staircase mate by Qa3, Rb2,Qa1. You could also just force a trade for either piece as a K+R vs lone king is a simple mate which be accomplished in a few seconds.

@tonybernard4444 Жыл бұрын
Definitely use your sound to help your play. Forcing high rated players to checkmate in speed chess means you have to pound out the final moves instantly, which is more a function of repetition than skill. Once you get some games in, you'll be pre-moving most of that queen and rook ending to mate. Also, I think you missed mate at the end because you already talked yourself into the draw.

in the last 10 seconds you missed two forks to take his rook of the board, but still, getting mate in that short of a time is difficult. Think this was fun to watch how missed things pivot the win chances both ways. Just sad that that opening cost you probably the time you missed in the endgame, you figured out how to develop fast enough, but it still cost you.
