I made a mistake with the 10th dark elixir troop, it’s the apprentice warden not the electro titan 😂 had a brain fart moment and f’d up the timeline in my head, for some reason thinking it was the electro titan that came out in 2023.

Remember when you had to spend 45 minutes just to train one single golem? Or when you had to move from one barrack to the other to be able to train your troops

I remember the animations for the troops when they were in the army camps. Examples: barbarian's raising their arms, Archers waving their bows in the air, Giants raising their fist in the air and Hog riders hopping in place.

I have to correct myself Barbarians, archers, and hog riders still do have their animations but I don't see the animation for the Giants. Maybe at one point of time they remove them.

@@HavocGaminghad a buddy come around to my house in 2014. He went on my iPad and loaded up CoC - deleted my 2012, 2013, 2014 Christmas trees. Luckily it was still the Christmas event when he did so I managed to get another 2014 Christmas tree but it still really annoys me to this day.

Electro Titan is regular elixir. The new dark elixir troop is the apprentice warden. 🧙. Which also doesn’t make sense since the grand warden uses regular elixir for upgrades. 🧙‍♂️

Well the barbarian and archer are elixir troops but king and queen use DE..... it does kinds make sense

Barb is Elixir, hence BK is dark Archer is Elixir, hence AQ is dark warden is Elixir, hence Apprentice is dark Makes total sense

8:29 A lot stands out about this picture. -Old air defense design -Max archer towers and wizard towers only have level 1 archers and wizards on them -Mortars are maxed, but look very similar to level 3 -Level 1 clan castle -Level 9 elixir storages, but level 10 gold storages -Town hall looks both level 7 (top parts) and level 8 (iron parts on left side and flag on front) at the same time -Barracks look like they’re level 7 and army camps (which would despawn your troops if destroyed on defense) look like they’re level 5

I remember when I was 14 (2015) , and I reached the Champion League at TH8. All I did was TH hunting, and my main troops were GoWiPe. The training for them took around 2 hours and 30 minutes. Good old days!

Also, here’s a story I vividly remember: I was in a clan war as a rushed TH10, and I requested a golem for one of my war attacks. I got a max golem (level 5 at the time), and I was almost ready to attack. I logged off the game for a few minutes and got attacked by a player using mass dragon (a popular strategy back then, especially pre-TH10 days). The golem came out of my CC (even though it can’t hit air troops!) and I lost it on defense. This not only relates to not being able to toggle off CC defense, but also to ground-hitting troops coming out of the CC even if there were no enemy ground units in the attack. After losing my golem, I requested another one, but no one with strong golems was online to donate one. Because of that, I lost my war attack.

I remember all of that, because I started playing the game since 2012. I too was guilty of putting my base (not on the corner) but on the side of the sandbox. I remember how overpowered the Mortar was, if you were on Crystal league, global chat would still see you as a good player, and believe it or not, Gowipe, Gowiwi is STILL the meta. People stopped using them because they watch Esports or use Electro Drag spam. To this day, I still use Gowipe, Gowiwi, and GoBoWi. Like what Todd Howard says about Skyrim, "It just works."

My current clan leader is stuck in the old days; though i doubt she had CoC way back then. She thinks the clan HAS to war daily abd always wants to do 20v20 or 25v25; but she gets frustrated when people leave after CWL or when clan games end. She keeps yelping to opt in if all heroes are available but we have many who opt out for a time because we have better things to do, myself included. I keep telling her that constant wars is a CHOICE and she can go a week without doing war (like literally she queues for regular war just a couple hours after CWL ends, giving few time to look at the results). But she refuses to consider slowing down 😒

I don't remember exactly when I started playing, I just remember that when I started, th9 was the max th level.

I started playing when I was around 8-9 and I'm going to tun 20 next year. I was blocked at Th 5 for more than 3 months because there was no Th 6 and when it was added I did not saw it so I waited 3 more months. I did, of course, the corner base but changed quickly when I saw that it was inefficient. Back in these days, reaching gold was a true challenge and when I reached gold I was among the best players of my entire school. Champions were unreachable heights. Since that time I had 10 accounts that I forgot and now I'm at Th12 and champion 3 since this morning, the league I never thought I would reach. And it took me one year. As much as it took me to max my Th4 back in these days... And of course I kept the starting wizards...
