Brilliant as ever Gary. Here’s another tip for you - if you hold Space instead of tapping it, QuickView will pop up but automatically disappear when you release Space. I only discovered that yesterday!

Great video! Can one delete a file directly from Quick Look?
@macmost2 жыл бұрын
Quick Look doesn't delete, but in order to be looking at something in Quick Look it is usually what you have selected in the Finder. So if that is the case, Command+Delete will move it to the trash.

Thanks! Unfortunately “quick look” isn’t available (to choose any extentions) in system preferences (MacoS12.6). Probably because it’s the Swiss version… And I have no plants recognition button.
@macmost2 жыл бұрын
Do you mean you don't see Quick Look listed in System Preferences, Extensions? That would be because you don't have any apps that have Quick Look extensions. Nothing to do with the country.

yes. Alright, no App with extensions then on my mac. Any idea, why I don‘t have the plant ID button?

Apple removed in Mojave or Catalina sadly a function. With option space is Quick Look in Fullscreen but when you press option it no longer zooms a photo to fullscreen instead of the smaller size and black beside

Sometimes when i use quick look, even with the local files, sometimes the content won't load, it only shows the thumbnail view, usually fixed by a restart, but do you know any alternative to not restarting? Monterey 12.6

Yes, this is a widely-reported bug. Hopefully fixed with Ventura.

It looks like they took away the option to move the quick look window by dragging anywhere in the preview area. Now you can only drag the window from the top bar.

This feature was broken for me and here was the fix: Relaunching the Finder. Hold down the option key and the control key, then click on the Finder icon in the dock, and then choose Relaunch. It went back to working normally.
